Dogwalk in Palomino (Colombia)

So it startet when I found a flyer at my hostel "for dog lovers" and i knew - I have to take part at this. It started at the morning at the beach, where we met Karina, Alejandro and six dogs of their shelter. They actually have 13 dogs and 8 cats in their shelter and I guess, when they find an injured cat or dog, they try to take them with them and help them and buy medicine for them. I think this is such a great and senseful thing so I was sooo happy to spend my time with them and the dogs. They were all so cute so I couldn't decide which one I liked most. After cuddling with the dogs we walked at the beach for 3 km, until we reached a nice river. There we made a vegetarian picnic together with the dogs. We ate fruits and sandwiches and had some coffee. It was amazing to see how trustful and friendly the dogs were. They had no fear of us so we could cuddle and pet them all the time:-) and they also had a bath in the river.

At our way back we carried plastic from the beach to keep the beach clean and help nature not to be full of plastic. I thought that this is something we should do more often in our holidays. I am really thankful to Karina and Alejandro for this amazing experience and I am so happy that they help this animals. Palominoanimalsouls should exist everywhere, not just in Palomino. And I can just recommend everyone who is going to Palomino to do the dogwalk with them. There are so many dogs living on the streets and having no home in all the countries I traveled the last 8 weeks. It is hot outside and they need fresh water, food and sometimes medical help. It's good to know that there are this great people who help them and give these dogs a home. Thank you, Karina and Alejandro :-)
