¡El faro de Córdoba!

¡Córdoba, Córdoba! Mit diesen Worten wurde ich am Montagmorgen aus meinen Träumen geweckt als meinem Bus eine Stunde zu früh am Omnibusbahnhof einfuhr. Leicht verwirrt machte ich mich auf den Weg, diesmal nicht zum Hostel sondern zum Haus der Schwester eines ehemaligen Studienkollegens meiner Mutter. Die Welt ist ein Dorf ;)

Córdoba ist mit 1,4 Mio Einwohnern die zweitgrößte Stadt Argentiniens. Die Größe merkt man dem kleinen süßen Stadtzentrum jedoch kaum an. Hier gibt es viele Kirchen, die im Inneren mit bunten Mosaik dekoriert sind. (Ich mache keine Fotos in Kirchen. Es gibt aber 360° Ansichten bei Google Maps.) Im "alten" Córdoba ist neben der Kathedrale auch das ehemalige Rathaus aus der Kollonialzeit gut erhalten. Im "neuen" Córdoba gibt es viele Museem insbesondere Kunstmuseen und einen Betonleuchtturm. Ganz nach dem Motto "Ist das Kunst oder kann das weg?" wissen die Menschen aus Córdoba selbst nicht genau warum sie ca 700km von der Küste entfernt einen Leuchtturm (spanisch "faro") benötigen.

Das Spanisch hier varritiert ein wenig von dem in Buenos Aires gesprochenen "porteño". Hier wird "ll,y" doch wieder wie "j" ausgesprochen dafür wird aber "rr" zu "sch". Im allgemeinen wird hier mehr "gesungen" aber so ganz kann ich das nicht beurteilen ;)

Gestern habe ich einen Tagesausflug in die Sierra de Córboba nach "Villa Carloz Paz" gemacht. Die süße Kleinstadt am See wirkt wie ein Wochenendentspannungsort für die Stadtmenschen. Morgen geht meine Reise weiter in das Weinbaugebiet Mendoza :)

¡Córdoba, Córdoba! When my bus arrived an hour early to Córdobas central bus station, these words braught me back from my dreams. Slightly confused, I made my way to the house of the sister of a former study collegue of my mum. "The world is a village."

With 1.4 Mio. inhabitants Córdoba is the second biggest city of Argentina. However, the city center appears quite cute. Here, you can find lots of pretty churches with colourful mosaic inside. (I generally do not take pictures inside of churches, but i m sure there are 360° panoramas on google maps.) In the "old" Córdoba the former city hall in the typical colonial style is nicely preserved. In the "new" Córdoba, I found lots of museums especially art museums and a concrete tower, which is obviously (sarcasm) a pharos. The people from Córdoba are also wondering why they need a pharos (spanish "faro") in 700km distance from the sea.

The spanish here varies a bit from the "porteño" spoken in Buenos Aires. Here the "ll,y" is pronounced "y" again, however the "rr" becomes "sh". In general, the people appear to "sing" a bit but who am i to judge ;)

Yesterday i made a day trip to the Sierra de Córboba to "Villa Carloz Paz". A little town with a lake, which appears to be some kind of weekendresort for the people from the city. Tomorrow my trip continues to the wine region of Mendoza :)
