Schon bald nach meiner Abfahrt gelangte ich wieder auf den schönen Radweg, der auf dem ehemaligen Bahntrassee verläuft. Dieser ist sehr gut ausgebaut und angenehm zu fahren, insbesondere weil keine Autos in der Nähe sind. Dadurch riecht es nicht unangenehm, und die Ruhe ist einfach herrlich. Der Weg führt durch Wälder und weite Felder, und besonders schön war es heute wegen des traumhaften Wetters mit einem strahlend blauen Himmel. Die Fotos zeigen leider immer nur punktuelle Ausschnitte, aber sie geben dir einen Einblick in das, was ich erleben darf.

Heute ging es tatsächlich mehr bergab als bergauf. Wahrscheinlich liegt das daran, dass ich eine größere Durchschnittsgeschwindigkeit erreicht habe und somit früher am Ziel ankam, obwohl ich fast die gleiche Strecke zurückgelegt habe.

Nach über zehn Kilometern endete der Bahnweg leider ganz plötzlich und ging in einen normalen Radweg über. Damit wurde es wieder laut und unangenehm, denn die Abgase riecht man immer stärker nach einer langen Zeit in der sauberen Luft.

Ich möchte mich jedoch nicht beklagen, denn immer wieder führte der Weg durch herrliche Landschaften und oft auch entlang von Bächen und Flüssen. Länger folgte ich dem Lauf der Fulda und passierte somit Bebra, wo ein Freund von mir sein Leben verbracht hat, bis ich ihn 1988 in die Schweiz geholt habe.

Für Radfahrer hält die Fulda eine besondere Überraschung bereit: eine Seilfähre, die etwa zwei Meter über der Wasseroberfläche schwebt. Man muss sie manuell betreiben, was viel Spaß macht und ein gutes Training für die Arme ist. Über die Fotos erfährst du mehr.

Kurz danach kam ich in meiner Unterkunft an, wo ich von Peter und seiner Frau herzlich empfangen wurde. Auch das E-Bike fand einen sicheren Platz.

Poco después de mi descenso llegué al hermoso carril bici que discurre a lo largo de la antigua vía del tren. Está muy bien desarrollado y es agradable de conducir, sobre todo porque no hay coches cerca. Esto significa que no hay olores desagradables y la paz y la tranquilidad son simplemente maravillosas. El camino pasa por bosques y amplios campos y hoy era especialmente bonito gracias al fantástico tiempo con un cielo azul brillante. Lamentablemente las fotos sólo muestran fragmentos específicos, pero dan una idea de lo que puedo experimentar.

Hoy en realidad fue más cuesta abajo que cuesta arriba. Probablemente esto se debe a que logré una velocidad promedio más alta y, por lo tanto, llegué antes al destino, aunque recorrí casi la misma distancia.

Desafortunadamente, después de más de diez kilómetros, el camino del tren terminó repentinamente y se convirtió en un carril bici normal. Esto lo hizo ruidoso y desagradable nuevamente, porque el olor de los gases de escape se hace más fuerte después de un largo tiempo en el aire limpio.

Sin embargo, no quiero quejarme, porque la ruta pasa repetidamente por hermosos paisajes y a menudo por arroyos y ríos. Seguí durante un tiempo el curso del Fulda y pasé por Bebra, donde un amigo mío pasó su vida hasta que lo traje a Suiza en 1988.

El Fulda reserva una sorpresa especial para los ciclistas: un transbordador de cable que se eleva unos dos metros por encima de la superficie del agua. Poco después llegué a mi alojamiento, donde fui recibido cálidamente por Peter y su esposa. La bicicleta eléctrica también encontró un lugar seguro.

Soon after my departure, I returned to the beautiful bike path that runs along the former railway line. It's very well-maintained and pleasant to ride on, especially since there are no cars nearby. This means there's no unpleasant smell, and the peace and quiet is simply wonderful. The path leads through forests and wide fields, and today it was especially beautiful because of the fantastic weather with a bright blue sky. Unfortunately, the photos only show selected sections, but they give you a glimpse into what I was able to experience.

Today, it was actually more downhill than uphill. This is probably because I achieved a higher average speed and thus arrived at my destination earlier, even though I covered almost the same distance.

After more than ten kilometers, the railway path unfortunately ended quite suddenly and turned into a regular bike path. This made things noisy and unpleasant again, as the exhaust fumes become increasingly noticeable after a long time in the clean air.

I'm not complaining, though, because the route repeatedly led through beautiful landscapes and often along streams and rivers. I followed the course of the Fulda for a while and thus passed Bebra, where a friend of mine spent his life until I brought him to Switzerland in 1988.

The Fulda has a special surprise in store for cyclists: a cable ferry that hovers about two meters above the water's surface. You have to operate it manually, which is a lot of fun and a good workout for your arms. You'll learn more in the photos.

Shortly afterward, I arrived at my accommodation, where I was warmly welcomed by Peter and his wife. My e-bike also found a safe place.
