Florida Vacation, Six Flags America and Great Falls

That Thursday we slept in a bit and I was not feeling good. Lack of sleep and not enough food. After I had breakfast and some fruit I felt better. At first I wanted to stay in the Airbnb, but Mandy kind of forced me to go with her, which in the end was good, because I got to see Sanibel and Captiva Island. On Friday Morning we left to drive to Naples and spend another day at the beach. Sanibel Island had to many shells for me so I didn't like it that much, but the sunset on Captiva Island was gorgeous. 
Am Donnerstag haben wir ein bisschen ausgeschlafen und ich habe mich nicht gut gefühlt. Zu wenig Schlaf und nicht genug gegessen. Nachdem ich gefrühstückt hatte ging es mir besser. Erst wollte ich in den Airbnb bleiben aber Mandy hat mich dazu gebracht mit ihr zu gehen, was im Endeffekt gut war, weil ich Sanibel und Captiva Island gesehen habe. Freitag Morgen sind wir nach Naples gefahren und haben einen weiteren Tag am Strand verbracht. Sanibel Island hatte zu viele Muscheln, also hat es mir nicht so gut gefallen, aber der Sonnenuntergang auf Captiva Island war wunderschön. 

The next day we drove into the everglades where we did a kajak tour in the mangroves and stopped a couple times to see aligators. The tour was great, you really can't describe that feeling. Being alone in the everglades in your kajak and just enjoying the nature around yourself. We were a little disappointed because we didn't see any alligators during that tour. We spend the night in Miami Beach and drove to Key West on Sunday. Key West really disappointed me, there was seaweed all over the beaches and the ground in the ocean was not nice. Downtown Key West was nice, but still I expected nice beaches and I didn't get nice beaches. 
Am nächsten Tag sind wir in die Everglades gefahren und haben eine Kajak Tour durch die Mangrooven gemacht und sind danach ein paar mal angehalten um Alligatoren anzugucken. Die Tour war super, man kann wirklich nicht das Gefühl beschreiben was man hat in den Everglades allein mit dem Kajak zu sein und einfach die Natur um einen herum zu genießen. Wir haben die Nacht in Miami Beach verbracht und sind am Sonntag nach Key West gefahren. Key West hat mich wirklich enttäuscht. Es gab überall Seegras an den Ständen und der Boden vom Meer war irgendwie auch ekelig. Die Stadt Key West war ganz nett, aber ich hatte tolle Strände erwartet und keine tollen Strände gesehen. 

I was really exited about the next day. Dry Tortugas nationalpark. I was not disappointed it was gorgeous. One of the most amazing places I've ever seen. The boat tour was nice, the view was just amazing and I saw a bunch of diffrent fish in the ocean out there. The last day we drove back to Miami early in the morning to spend some time in Miami Beach, because we were so disappointed by the beaches in Key West. In the late afternoon we dropped the car off and went to the airport. 

Ich habe mich meega auf den nächsten Tag gefreut. Dry Tortugas Nationalpark. Ich wurde nicht enttäuscht, es war außergewöhnlich. Einer der faszinierensten Orte die ich je gesehen habe. Die Bottsfahrt war nett, der Ausblick war einfach unglaublich und ich habe viele verschiedene Fische im Meer gesehen. Am letzten Tag sind wir früh morgens zurück nach Miami gefahren um etwas Zeit in Miami Beach zu verbringen, da wir so enttäuscht von den Stränden auf Key West waren. Am späten Nachmittag haben wir das Auto abgegeben und sind zum Flughafen gefahren. 

In the end it was an amazin vacation. It felt like I've been gone for at least a month because we did so many cool things. I can't believe that I did all this and now that I'm writing this blog I start to realize how special this all is and that not a lot of people can say they experienced something like this. I'm so greateful that I got the opportunity to do all this. My amazing host family who gave me the opportunity to take two more days off and support me so much with all  my travel and travel a lot with me. Becuase only this vacation cost more than 2000 dollars. 
Zum Schluss kann ich sagen es war ein wahnsinnig cooler Urlaub. Es hat sich angefühlt als wäre ich mindestens einen Montag weg gewesen, weil wir so viele coole Dinge getan haben. Ich kann gar nicht glauben, dass ich all das getan habe und jetzt wo ich diesen Blog schreibe fange ich an zu realisieren wie besonders das alles ist und dass nicht viele Menschen von sich behaupten können so etwas erlebt zu haben. Ich bin so dankbar für die Möglichkeit das alles zu tun. Meien wundervolle Gastfamilie, die es mir erlaubt hat zwei Tage mehr frei zu machen und mich so viel mit meinem ganzen reisen unterstützen und auch so viel mit mir reisen. Weil nur dieser Urlaub hat mehr als 2000 dollar gekostet. 

It felt really weird to be back, but I really liked it. The saturday after I came back I went to Great Falls again, with my friend from Kanada and on Sunday I went to Six Flags America in Maryland, because I was able to bring a friend for free, so Mandy got free access. 

Es hat sich komisch angefühlt wieder zuhause zu sein, aber ich hab es genossen. Den Samstag nachdem ich zurück kam, bin ich mit meiner Freundin aus Kanada nach Great Falls gefahren und am Sonntag bin ich im Six Flags America in Maryland gewesen, weil ich die Möglichkeit hatte einen Freund frei mit rein zu nehmen, so dass Mandy umsonst rein kam.
