Start of the last three work weeks

3 weeks to go. I was kind of counting the days, but I was also feeling sad to leave soon. I worked only two days that week, because Laurie was taking care of Gerry on Tuesday, Wednesday was a Holyday and Molly took Gerry to Boston on Friday. My friend kind of forced me to go to the Mall on Wednesday because of 4th of July and parade and all that stuff, I went, even if I wasn't sure if I wanted to go. It was nice, the parade was kind of cool but the day was just too long for being so hot and humid.
3 Wochen noch. Ich war irgendwie dabei die Tage zu zählen, aber ich war auch etwas traurig bald zu gehen. Ich habe nur zwei Tage gearbeitet, weil Laurie am Dienstag auf Gerry aufgepasst hat, am Mittwoch ein Feiertag war und Molly Gerry am Freitag mit nach Boston genommen hat. Meine Freundin hat mich etwas dazu gezwungen nach Washington DC rein zu gehen und die Parade und den ganzen Quatsch anzusehen. Es war schon irgendwie cool, aber es war einfach zu lang dafür, dass es so heiß war und die Luftfeuchtigkeit so hoch.

On the weekend it was gonna be nice weather, so I planed to go to the Shenandoah Nationalpark to go hiking. I asked all the aupairs, because the more people you are the cheaper it is. But most of the aupairs canceled last minute, which didn't really matter a lot, because the one girl that didn't was really nice and we got along really well. We hiked two beautiful trails leading to a waterfall, the South River Falls and the Dark Hollow Falls. The Dark Hollow Falls Trail was pretty short and crowded. The South River Falls Trail was perfect.

Am Wochenende sollte das Wetter super werden, also hatte ich geplant in den Shanandoah Nationalpark zum wandern zu gehen. Ich habe ein paar Aupairs gefragt, ob sie mit wollen, weil je mehr Leute, desto günstiger. Aber die meisten Aupairs haben kurzfristig abgesagt, was nicht so wichtig war, weil das eine Mädchen, dass nicht abgesagt hatte war super nett und wir haben uns gut verstanden. Wir haben zwei Wanderungen gemacht, South River Falls und Dark Hollow Falls, beide führten zu wunderschönen Wasserfällen. Der Dark Hollow Falls Trail war sehr voll und kurz, der andere perfekt.

An other week of work after that. I was starting to think that I should start packing but on the other hand I didn't want to pack before I did all the laundry and stuff, so basically the last day. So I didn't pack and now I can tell you it was fine. On Saturday Mollys host brother from Dresden was in town visiting, so we all went down to Susan's house and had a nice dinner. We also cleaned the jetta, which was really necassary. On Sunday we had crabs with all of Molly's coworkers. It was such a nice last weekend in DC. 

Eine weitere Woche arbeiten. Ich hab angefangen darüber nachzudenken, ob ich nicht mit dem packen anfangen sollte, andererseits wollte ich damit nicht anfange, bis ich all meine Wäsche gewaschen hatte, etc. also der letzte Tag. Also hab ich nicht gepackt und jetzt kann ich euch sagen, das war absolut kein Problem. Am Samstag war Mollys Gastbruder aus Dresden zu Besuch und wir waren alle bei Susan zum Abendessen eingeladen. Außerdem haben wir den Jetta sauber gemacht, was echt nötig war. Am Sonntag hatten wir Krabben mit Mollys ganzen Arbeitskollegen. Es war so ein nettes, letztes Wochenende in Washington DC.
