Los Angeles und Six Flags Magic Mountain

Happy to be back in DC but also missing the South-West area a lot. Laurie took care of Gerry the Saturday and also took him over night. I was so thankful for that, because we were all exhaused and that way we could sleep in on Sunday. I had a couple things that I wanted to see in Arlington around the Pentagon, so I did that on Saturday. I visited the Pentagon Memorial, the Air Force Memorial, Arlington Cemetery and Theodore Rosevelt Island. On Sunday I went to the Six Flags America waterpark. I find it ridiculous to pay 14 dollars for a safe  to store clothes. So by the end of the day I gave my safe to another girl. But it was nice. I've never been on a half pipe water slide and the other waterslides were cool, too.

Glücklich wieder in DC zu sein, aber ich habe den Südwesten auch vermisst. Laurie hat am Samstag auf Gerry aufgepasst und hat ihn auch über Nacht genommen und ich war so dankbar dafür, weil wir alle erschöpft waren und so konnten wir Sonntag ausschlafen. Ich hatte ein paar Dinge, die ich mir in Arlington noch um das Pentagon herum ansehen wollte, das habe ich am Samstag gemacht. Ich habe das Pentagon memorial, das Air Force Memorial, den Arlington Nationalfriedhof und Theodore Rosevelt Island besucht. Am Sonntag bin ich zum Six Flags America Wasserpark gefahren. Ich finde es grauenvoll 14 dollar für ein safe zu zahlen, um die Klamotten darin aufzubewahren, also hab ich am Ende des Tages mein Safe wem anders gegeben. Ich war noch nie auf einer Halfpipe Wasser Rutsche und auch die anderen Wasser Rutschen waren cool.

After three working days, on Thursaday I flew to LosAngeles, where I stayed with Kevins aunt Jackie and her husband Ken. They are such nice people. Jackie picked me up from the airport and then we drove down to Laguna Niguel, had lunch and spend the rest of the day at their place. The house is so awesome, you can see the ocean out of the windows. The next day I drove to Six Flags Magic Mountain. I rented a car about 20 Minutes from their place and they drove me there, luckily. The park was awesome. Definetly one of my favorites after Cedar Point ans Six Flags Great Adventure. They had some really cool Roller Coasters. A hybrid coaster, twisted Colossus, a nice coaster, called X2, a short but intense one, called superman and Tatsu, a face down coaster. In the evening, when I came back, Ken picked me up and drove me back to their place. 

Nach 3 Tagen arbeiten, am Donnerstag, bin ich nach Los Angeles geflogen, wo ich bei Kevins Tante Jackie und ihrem Mann Ken übernachtet habe. Sie sind so wundervolle Menschen. Jackie hat mich am Flughafen abgeholt und dann sind wir nach Laguna Niguel gefahren, wo wir Mittagessen hatten und den Rest des Tages bei denen verbracht haben. Das Haus ist der Wahnsinn, man kann das Meer aus dem Fenster sehen. Am nächsten Tag bin ich zu Six Flags Magic Mountain gefahren. Ich habe ein Auto gemietet, 20 Minuten von Laguna Niguel entfernt und Jackie hat mich dort hin gefahren, yum Glück. Der Park war sehr cool. Ganz sicher einer meiner Lieblingsparks, nach Cedar Point und Six Flags Great Adventure. Sie hatten ein paar wirklich coole Achterbahnen. Eine Hybrid Achterbahnen, Twisted Colossus, eine nette, namens X2, eine kurze und intensive, Superman und Tatsu, eine Hängeachterbahn. Abends, als ich zurück kam hat Ken mich abgeholt und zurück gefahren. 

The next day I was kind of exhaused, so I spend the day at the beach with Jackie. The weather was not so nice, it was really cloudy and not that warm, but still nice. On Sunday we all went to Los Angeles and Jackie and Ken showed me around. First we drove around and visisted the Los Angeles police department, after that we drove to the Santa Monica pier, where we had lunch. Next stop Venice beach and Muscle beach. The beach was nice and this place muscle beach kind of weird. All these fitness stuff at the beach and a lot of these weird muscle guys. That's L.A. After that we drove by Beverlly Hills and Hollywood, visited the Walk of fame and saw the Hollywood sign. It was an overall nice day and we came back late. On Monday Jackie drove me to the airport, the traffic was so bad that I was worried to miss my flight but I made it. Overall a really nice trip. 

Am nächsten Tag war ich ziemlich erschöpft, also habe ich den Tag mit Jackie am Strand verbracht. Das Wetter was nicht so nett, es war ziemlich bewölkt und nicht besonders warm, aber trotzdem nett. Am Sonntag sind wir alle zusammen nach Los Angeles gefahren und Jackie und Ken haben mich herum geführt. als erstes sind wirbeim Los Angeles Polizeirevier vorbei gefahren, danach sind wir zum Santa Monica Pier gefahren, wo wir Mittag gegessen haben. Der nächste Stop war Venice und Muscle beach. Der Strand war sehr schön und dieser Ort Muscle beach war irgendwie komisch. Dieser ganze Fitness Kram am Strand und all diese verrückten Muskelmännchen. Das ist dann wohl L.A. Danach sind wir durch Beverlly Hills und Hollywood gefahren, haben den Walk of Fame und das Holywood Zeichen besucht. Es war insgesamt ein toller Tag und wir kamen spät nach Hause. Montag hat Jackie mich zum Flughafen gefahren, der Verkehr war so schrecklich, dass ich Angst hatte meinen Flug zu verpassen, aber ich habe es geschafft. Ein insgesamt toller Trip.
