Unendlich viele Blautöne // infinitely many shades of blue

Eine weitere unfassbare Woche Segeln im Paradies liegt hinter uns. Nach Huahine ging es mit Zwischenstopp in Raiatea und Tahaa zur wunderschönen Insel Bora Bora.

Bora Bora hat deutlich mehr Touristen als die anderen Inseln, aber auch wir haben hier ganz besondere Momente verbracht. Schnorcheln mit Adlerrochen, Mantarochen, Haien und unzählbar vielen Fischen, ein Barbecue an einem absolten Traumstrand und eine Tour über die Insel machten uns teilweise sprachlos.

In Tahaa besuchten wir noch eine Perlenfarm, eine Rumdestillerie, eine Vanilleplantage und machten eine Tour rund um die Insel bevor wir am Samstag morgen traurig das Boot zurück bringen mussten. Zwei Wochen voll Erlebnissen, die so dicht an dicht kamen, dass die Zeit mir viel länger vorkam.

Am Samstag sind Rilana, Andi, Claudi und ich mit einer Fähre in horrendem Tempo nach Moorea gefahren und schauen uns hier die Insel an.

We’ve just finished another incredible week of sailing in paradise. After Huahine, we continued with a stopover in Raiatea and Tahaa before reaching the stunning Bora Bora.

Bora Bora has noticeably more tourists than the other islands, but even here we experienced some truly special moments. Snorkeling with eagle rays, manta rays, sharks, and countless fish, a barbecue on an absolutely dreamlike beach, and a tour around the island left us speechless more than once.

In Tahaa we visited a pearl farm, a rum distillery, a vanilla plantation, and took a tour around the island before we had to return the boat on Saturday morning — sadly. Two weeks full of experiences packed so tightly together that the time felt much longer to me.

On Saturday, Rilana, Andi, Claudi, and I took a ferry at a wild, breakneck speed to Moorea, where we’re now exploring the island.
