So after the italian cafe I was walking to the other side of the town. Still in Samara. Looking for a Soda. In Costa Rica Sodas are like small Restaurants with cheap meals. Cheap breakfast and so on. You find them everywhere. On the way I saw the big letters of joy saying BOULANGERIE. A french bakery, the Masters of Croissants.
-Salut, je prends un croissant.
-1 Mile. ( 1000 Colones)
-Merci beaucuop et Au revoir!
I danggled towards my dormitory. Awaiting the pleasure. And thats the moments where it struck me to write about Croissants.
Tasting the croissant and judging it was fun.
The crust was good and it was fluffy enough to please. Though it was not buttery enough. Even more a slight taste of backing powder came to light. Big minus.
Texture is a lot but the taste was off. Sadly, maybe the expectations were a bit too high.
Still I enjoy all of them.
So being most of the week in Punta Morales which is kind of a remote place, building this big ship, I forgott a bit about these sweet delights.
We' ll see were my journey for another pastry delight brings me.
Another story. I guess I dont have to mention that the Croissants on the Champs Elyseé are very good. A little suggestion.
See ya
