Mui Ne to deep

Veröffentlicht: 01.04.2017

Since the beginning of March I have been in Mui Ne. At first, to meet Leon and Valentin, but when they left and I started working in a hostel's kitchen. It is called Source Kiteboarding & Lodge and has a maximum capacity of around 30 people. The vibes/atmosphere is very nice and relaxed, due to the two owners which also kiteboard (kiters are in general laid-back people (well at least the ones I've met)).

The first day I started, I had now idea of what is going to happen the next few week. It could be not be my thing, I might not like it, or it is going to be deadly (irish for awesome). I didn't know what I am going to be learning and experience.

Now i know, and it turned out to be the best decision, I could of done.

The first day I arrived, while waiting for one of the owners to show me where I'm going to be living the next 4 weeks, I got a coffee and went up to the terrace which offered a breath-taking view over the sea, beaches and the town where the majority of the tourists stayed.

I was living with 6 other volunteers in a vietnamese house, about 10 min away from the hostel. Rachel & Jonny a lovely couple from the UK, Pierre a cook from France, Miriam from France too, Tatjana from Moldova, Denise from Ireland...We were a deadly crew, and got along perfectly.

Together we went dancing, to the red and white sand dunes, surfing and enjoyed beautiful sunrises and many other things.

I met such wonderful people, which made my stay unforgettable.

One day I did a day trip to the close by lighthouse, together with a russian girl that I met.

Every day I woke up went to the market got some fruits, after going to the same cafe and getting an ice coffee including a banh my (vietnamese sandwich). The main reason why I went always to the same Cafe was because the coffee and banh my were soooo good and the lady there was unbelievable friendly.

Afterwards I always went to the beach to check out the waves, to know if I could go surfing. I used every chance to go surfing and improve my skills. That the same time it was very good for my body because, I haven't done much sport the last couple of months.

Due to mobility I bought a motorbike again. Now, after beautiful and unforgettable 4 week I'll keep on traveling by motorbike again. My first stop will be Dalat.

Those few weeks gave me the opportunity to get to know the Vietnamese life and how it is to live there. I had to go to the local market every day in order to get fresh fruits and vegetables. Working in the kitchen I could learn so many new skills.
