We hit the road again from Airlie Beach to Rainbow Beach.
Stopped at Cape Hillsborough for a night to watch the sunrise and Wallabie feeding at the beach in the morning.
Went through a few small cities and stopped for groceries.
Arrived in Rainbow late afternoon on dec 9th. Went to bed early to get picked up by the company early in the morning the next day.
We had a 2d1n tour on Fraser Island. The guide provided a lot of information and I finally got to know what’s behind the dropbear myth.
The time on K’Gari (aboriginal name of Fraser Island) was great.
It was so much fun to bring the 4wd to the beaches and as well as inland on soft sand.
Also learned how to throw a boomerang...
We slept in a beautiful accommodation with real beds (that’s now common on Fraser!! Haha)
After returning to the “main land” I went for sand boarding on the dunes at Rainbow. So much fun!
Made a few new friends this evening.
Mathias, from Denmark and Tara, from Australia are traveling Australia together since they met on Fiji.
We felt very close since the beginning. Some things come unexpected.
We also met at Noosa Fairy Pools the next day and decided to stay together until Byron Bay.
Cheers
