Strecke 105 Kilometern, kum. 1‘504 Kilometer | Höhenmeter 570, kum. 10‘480

Noch gestern habe ich gesagt, dass ich nur noch geteerte Strassen befahren werde. Heute habe ich das genaue Gegenteil davon gemacht. Fast die Hälfte der Strecke machte ich auf Kieswegen und unbefestigten Strassen. Doch der Untergrund war sehr anders, es war zwar teilweise auch nass, doch immer sandig oder kiesig. So hat es richtig Spass gemacht und ich fühle mich auch heute nach über 100 Kilometern auf dem eBike fit wie ein Turnschuh.

Nach über 45 Kilometern, zum grossen Teil auf Bundesstrassen, traf ich rechtzeitig in Ayamonte ein, um die Fähre zu erreichen. Ich hätte mich allerdings nicht so beeilen müssen. Es gab ein technisches Problem und sie konnten die Rampe nicht hochfahren. So fuhren wir mit 20 Minuten Verspätung los.

Die Fahrt dauerte nur knapp 15 Minuten und schon war ich in Portugal angekommen. Da ich früh dran war, nahm ich es sehr gemütlich und machte ein paar Fotos von der schönen Promenade.

Ab hier fahre ich mehrheitlich auf dem EV-1, wobei EV Euro-Velo bedeutet. Auf ihm werde ich wahrscheinlich noch viele hundert Kilometer verbringen, denn er führt dann auch noch den ganzen Atlantik rauf und noch weiter.

Danach habe ich bald eine weitere schöne Begegnung gehabt. Zwei Deutsche, namens Ulrike und Josef. Schon kurz darauf begegneten wir uns in Tavira schon wieder und ich freue mich auf weitere Begegnungen, denn ihr Weg verläuft gleich wie meiner. Ich durfte ein Foto von dem sympathischen Paar machen, das du auch im Blog findest.

Ab hier kamen in mir viele Erinnerungen hoch, da wir vor circa 6 Jahren hier unseren gemeinsamen Familienurlaub verbracht haben. Sicherlich hätte sich damals niemand erträumen können, dass ich diese Gegend einmal mit dem Fahrrad besuchen würde.

Eine Unterkunft habe ich zwar vorgemerkt, jedoch nicht gebucht. Und prompt war natürlich niemand da, doch eine Nachbarin war so hilfsbereit und suchte nach der Vermieterin. Keine 5 Minuten später war sie schon hier und ich konnte aus 3 Zimmern auswählen, da ich heute der einzige Gast bin.

In Fuseta, wenige Kilometer vor meinem Ziel, konnte ich bei einem schönen Fischrestaurant nicht widerstehen und so machte ich einen Essensstop, ein verfrühtes Abendessen, das mir sehr gut geschmeckt hat und daher bin ich auch jetzt noch satt - 1 grosses Bier reicht mir.

Ayer dije que sólo circularía por carreteras asfaltadas. Hoy hice exactamente lo contrario de eso. Casi la mitad del recorrido lo hice por caminos de grava y caminos de tierra. Pero el suelo era muy diferente: aunque a veces estaba húmedo, siempre era arenoso o gravilla. Fue muy divertido y aún hoy, después de más de 100 kilómetros en la eBike, todavía me siento en plena forma.

Después de más de 45 kilómetros, la mayor parte por carreteras federales, llegué a Ayamonte a tiempo para coger el ferry. Aunque no tuve que apresurarme. Hubo un problema técnico y no pudieron subir por la rampa. Entonces salimos 20 minutos tarde.

El viaje sólo duró unos 15 minutos y ya había llegado a Portugal. Como era temprano me lo tomé con calma y tomé algunas fotos del hermoso paseo marítimo.

A partir de ahora viajo principalmente en EV-1, donde EV significa Euro-Velo. Probablemente recorreré cientos de kilómetros en él, porque conduce hasta el Atlántico y más allá.

Después de eso pronto tuve otro hermoso encuentro. Dos alemanes llamados Ulrike y Josef. Poco después nos volvimos a encontrar en Tavira y espero nuevos encuentros, porque su camino es el mismo que el mío. Me permitieron tomar una foto de la encantadora pareja, que también podéis encontrar en el blog.

A partir de aquí me vinieron muchos recuerdos porque pasamos nuestras vacaciones familiares aquí juntos hace unos 6 años. Seguramente entonces nadie hubiera imaginado que visitaría esta zona en bicicleta.

Reservé alojamiento pero no lo reservé. Y, por supuesto, no había nadie allí enseguida, pero un vecino fue muy servicial y buscó a la casera. Menos de 5 minutos después ella estaba aquí y pude elegir entre 3 habitaciones ya que hoy era el único huésped.

En Fuseta, a pocos kilómetros de mi destino, no pude resistirme a un buen restaurante de pescado, así que paré a comer, a cenar temprano, lo cual disfruté mucho y por eso todavía estoy lleno: 1 cerveza grande es suficiente para a mí.

Just yesterday I said that I would only ride on paved roads. Today I did the exact opposite. I did almost half of the route on gravel paths and unpaved roads. But the surface was very different, it was wet in places, but always sandy or gravelly. So it was really fun and I feel as fit as a fiddle today after more than 100 kilometers on the eBike.

After more than 45 kilometers, mostly on federal roads, I arrived in Ayamonte in time to catch the ferry. I didn't have to rush, though. There was a technical problem and they couldn't drive up the ramp. So we left 20 minutes late.

Shortly afterwards we met again in Tavira and I am looking forward to more encounters, because their route is the same as mine. From here on, many memories came flooding back to me, as we spent our family vacation here together about 6 years ago. Surely no one could have dreamed back then that I would one day visit this area by bike.

I had noted down accommodation, but did not book it. And of course no one was there, but a neighbor was helpful enough to look for the landlady. Less than 5 minutes later she was already here and I could choose from 3 rooms, as I am the only guest today.

In Fuseta, a few kilometers from my destination, I couldn't resist a nice fish restaurant and so I stopped for a bite to eat, an early dinner that I really enjoyed and so I'm still full now - one large beer is enough for me.
