A glimpse of Ottawa in November

I only had one full day in Ottawa hence my portrayal of the city is far from being exhaustive. Although not as pretty as Montreal or Quebec City, it's definitely worth going back for, maybe in the summer time when it's not snowing and freezing cold...
I must confess I never made it into the German Reichstagsgebäude, however, I managed to get a guided tour through the Parliament of Canada before they will close the building to visitors from January 2019 until 2030.

At least it was not too late visiting the Parliament. But why do they close it to visitors for such a long time? Mechthild

They close down the parliament completely to do restaurations and renovations. The Senate and the House of Commons also have to moveSandra
