Überfahrt nach Helsinki

Innerhalb von 30 Stunden mache ich mit der Fähre etwa dieselbe Strecke, die ich bisher mit dem E-Bike zurückgelegt habe.

Nach langer Wartezeit in Travemünde wurde ich genau um 23 Uhr von einem Follow-me abgeholt und in den riesigen Frachtraum geführt. Dort konnte ich mein Velo parken und dann mit dem Gepäck per Fahrstuhl ins 9. Deck hochfahren. Glücklicherweise war meine Koje schon bereit, und so dauerte es nicht lange, bis ich mich ins Bett legen konnte und bald danach schon schlief.

Auf dem Schiff gilt finnische Zeit, d.h., dass es in Finnland 1 Stunde später ist als bei uns, und genau so wird es auch in Estland und den übrigen baltischen Staaten sein. Somit werde ich morgen nach unserer Zeit um 9 Uhr ankommen, in lokaler Zeit also um 10 Uhr. Somit verliere ich eine Stunde, die ich dann in Polen wiederbekomme.

Mein Schiff ist riesig, also wie ein Kreuzfahrtschiff, und als Fähre auch luxuriös. Trotzdem ist der Hauptzweck, insbesondere Lastwagen mit ihrer Fracht nach Helsinki zu bringen und nicht, als Vergnügungsschiff zu dienen. So gibt es weder ein Kino noch ein Theater. Auch einen Swimmingpool sucht man vergeblich. Dafür habe ich das beruhigende Meer rund um mich und dazu viel Ruhe.

Kurzum, ich kann hier wieder Kraft tanken für meine nächsten Touren auf dem E-Bike.

En 30 horas, con el ferry, hago aproximadamente la misma distancia que he recorrido hasta ahora en mi E-Bike.

Después de una larga espera en Travemünde, fui recogido exactamente a las 23:00 por un Follow-me y me llevaron al enorme espacio de carga. Allí pude aparcar mi bicicleta y luego subir con el equipaje en el ascensor al 9º piso. Afortunadamente, mi litera ya estaba lista, así que no tardé mucho en acostarme y poco después ya estaba durmiendo.

En el barco rige el horario finlandés, es decir, que en Finlandia es una hora más que aquí, y así será también en Estonia y en los demás países bálticos. Por lo tanto, mañana llegaré a las 9 de nuestra hora, que equivale a las 10 en hora local. Así, perderé una hora que recuperaré en Polonia.

Mi barco es enorme, como un crucero y, como ferry, también lujoso. Sin embargo, el propósito principal es llevar camiones con su carga a Helsinki y no servir como barco de placer. Así que no hay cine ni teatro. Tampoco se puede encontrar una piscina. A cambio, tengo el mar tranquilo a mi alrededor y mucha tranquilidad.

In 30 hours, on the ferry, I cover approximately the same distance that I have traveled so far on my E-Bike.

After a long wait in Travemünde, I was picked up exactly at 11 PM by a Follow-me and led into the huge cargo area. There, I was able to park my bike and then take the elevator with my luggage up to the 9th deck. Fortunately, my bunk was already ready, so it didn’t take long for me to lie down and soon after, I was already asleep.

On the ship, Finnish time applies, meaning that it is one hour later in Finland than here, and this will also be the case in Estonia and the other Baltic states. Therefore, I will arrive tomorrow at 9 AM our time, which is 10 AM local time. Thus, I lose one hour, which I will then regain in Poland.

My ship is enormous, like a cruise ship, and also luxurious as a ferry. Nevertheless, the main purpose is to transport trucks with their cargo to Helsinki and not to serve as a pleasure vessel. So there is neither a cinema nor a theater. You also search in vain for a swimming pool. Instead, I have the calming sea around me along with plenty of tranquility.

In short, I can recharge my energy here for my next rides on the E-Bike.
