Spaziergang durch Prag

David hatte schon früh einen Termin in Prag. Daher vereinbarten wir, um 7 Uhr mit dem Zug nach Prag zu fahren. Ab 65 Jahren fährt man in Prag mit allen Verkehrsmitteln kostenlos.

Ich ging davon aus, dass ich die Kinder schon höre, wenn sie aufstehen. Doch sie haben heute länger geschlafen, und somit auch ich. Es war schon etwas peinlich, dass mich David wecken musste, zumal er einen früheren Zug nehmen musste. Also beeilte ich mich, und so sassen wir schon um 06:40 im Zug. Bereits gute 20 Minuten später erreichten wir Prag mitten in der Altstadt.

Zuerst zeigte mir David seinen Trainings- und Firmenraum, bevor wir uns trennten. Er ging zu seinem Meeting, und ich erkundete die Altstadt von Prag. Von einem früheren Besuch zusammen mit André kannte ich sie schon, war aber trotzdem überwältigt von der Vielzahl der sehenswerten Gebäude, Türme, Kirchen und weiteren architektonischen Meisterwerken. Man könnte in jeder Strasse und an jeder Ecke unzählige Fotos machen. Ich habe versucht, die Aufnahmen etwas zu werten und nur die schönsten aufzunehmen.

Um 11 Uhr hatte David seinen Termin zu Ende, und er hatte mir schon im Vorfeld angeboten, auf der anderen Seite der Moldau in der Burg eine private Führung zu geben von einer Tour, die er als Stadtführer anbietet. So haben André und ich ihn vor 8 Jahren auch kennengelernt. Als Nachtwächter hat er uns damals die Besonderheiten der Prager Altstadt gezeigt. Ein Stück fuhren wir dann mit der Strassenbahn, daher ist die Route auf Komoot etwas verfälscht. Ab dann durfte ich eine private Tour mit ihm geniessen und erfuhr so manches aus der Vergangenheit dieser Gebäude, die eine lange Geschichte hinter sich haben.

At 11 a.m., David finished his appointment, and he had already offered me a private tour across the Vltava River at the castle of one of the tours he offers as a city guide. That’s how André and I also met him 8 years ago. As a night watchman, he showed us the special features of Prague's old town. Then we took a tram for a short distance, so the route on Komoot is somewhat distorted. From then on, I got to enjoy a private tour with him and learned much about the history of these buildings that have a long past.
