Washington D.C.

Hey Friends,

hier der versprochene Post. 

Ich glaube jetzt wisst ihr, worum es geht. Ja, ich hatte gestern die einmalige Möglichkeit die wunderschöne Stadt Washington D.C. zu sehen. 😍

Wir sind morgens relativ früh losgefahren, um den Tag auch wirklich auszunutzen. Die Stadt ist wirklich atemberaubend. Es ist immer was los. Es hat ungefähr 2 1/2 Stunden gedauert, um nach Washington zu kommen. 

Es ist wirklich ein kleiner Traum in Erfüllung gegangen und ich bin so dankbar, dass sowas in dieser Zeit überhaupt möglich ist. 🙏🏻

Als erstes haben wir das Lincoln Monument besucht. Der Turm ist so riesig, wenn du davor stehst! Wir hatten zudem das beste Wetter, was man sich wünschen kann. Ich weiß, es ist Dezember, aber an manchen Orten in den USA schneit es nie. Es kommt darauf an, wo du dich befindest. Viele Foodtrucks standen in einer Linie vor dem Monument und versorgten mit Essen. Fragt aber nicht nach dem Preis. 😂

Nach vielen geschossenen Bildern sind wir dann weitergegangen zu dem U.S. Capitol. Direkt dahinter befindet sich eine der größten Bibliotheken auf der Welt. Leider war die Library of Congress geschlossen. 😅 

Danach sind wir noch auf unserem Weg zum weißen Haus an der Gallery of Arts vorbeigekommen. Mir ist aufgefallen, wie viele Museen es eigentlich in der Stadt gibt. 😳

Ein Tag ist auf jeden Fall zu wenig, um sich wirklich alles genau anzuschauen. Einen „ersten Einblick“ habe ich trotzdem bekommen . 😉

Als ich das weiße Haus gesehen habe war ich erst ein bisschen enttäuscht. Es ist komplett abgeriegelt gewesen. Ich denke aufgrund der politischen Situation ist die Stadt gerade sehr aufmerksam. Erst als wir einige Meter weiter von der aufgestellten Wand gegangen sind, konnte man das weiße Haus in guter Größe sehen. Ich musste das erstmal realisieren, dass ich jetzt wirklich das weiße Haus in echt gesehen habe. 😍

Aber ich möchte gar nicht so viel reden, sondern die Bilder für sich sprechen lassen. Auf jeden Fall hatte ich eine mega Zeit und war glücklich (wie man auf den Bildern sehen kann).☺️

By the way: Die Stadt kann ich nur empfehlen! :D

Abgesehen von schmerzenden Füßen am Ende des Tages und dem Wissen, dass man an diesem Tag um die 12.000 Schritte gemacht hat, war es das wirklich wert. 😊

Das war mein kleiner Daytrip in einem Blog.

I think now you know what it's all about. Yes, I had the unique opportunity to see the beautiful city of Washington D.C. yesterday. 😍

We left relatively early in the morning to really take advantage of the day. The city is really breathtaking. There is always something going on. It took about 2 1/2 hours to get to Washington.

It's really a little dream come true and I'm so grateful that something like this is even possible at this time. 🙏🏻

The first thing we did was visit the Lincoln Monument. The tower is so huge when you stand in front of it! We also had the best weather anyone could ask for. I know it's December, but some places in the US it never snows. It depends on where you are. Many food trucks were lined up in front of the monument providing food. Don't ask about the price though. 😂

After many pictures taken, we moved on to the U.S. Capitol. Right behind it is one of the largest libraries in the world. Unfortunately, the Library of Congress was closed. 😅

After that, we passed the Gallery of Arts on our way to the White House. I was struck by how many museums there actually are in the city. 😳 

One day is definitely too little to really look at everything in detail. A "first insight" I have nevertheless gotten . 😉 

When I saw the white house I was a bit disappointed at first. It has been completely sealed off. I think because of the political situation, the city is just very attentive. It wasn't until we walked a few feet further from the put up wall that you could see the white house in good size. I had to realize that now I really saw the white house in real. 😍

But I don't want to talk so much, but let the pictures speak for themselves. In any case, I had a good time and was happy (as you can see in the pictures).☺️

By the way: I can only recommend the city! :D 

 Apart from sore feet at the end of the day and knowing that you took around 12,000 steps that day, it was really worth it. 😊

 That was my little day trip in a blog.
