Catching waves

Veröffentlicht: 14.06.2017

Today I had my first surfing lesson. Ok not really a lesson, more a friend that told me what to do and then I just went for it.

We got a very good deal through the travel company we work for to go there with a guide, so we drove 20 min on the beach to go to Double Island Point with "Australia's longest wave"

And this wave was really awesome. We took the smaller ones , with our beginner boards.

I was surprisingly good, stood a few waves .

I love this feeling of salt water in your hair, dripping wet, sun in your face.  The energy of the ocean is incredible.

Apparently this is also a good point to spot dolphins, we didn't see any unfortunately.

This afternoon was exactly what I needed after 4 weeks in Rainbow Beach.

Although the work here isn't physically demanding, but mentally. Not one day off to just do whatever you want.

That's why I need something to get into, to put all my energy in.

Surfing could be the solution. Forget about work, just enjoy the waves and the sunsets in this beautiful little town .
