Paris - St Sébastien

hey hey...

2 days, 980 km and 100 flies on my windshield later, I finally crossed the border to Spain. Last night I spent on Ile d' Oleron at a friend's house, made a quick stop at Lanacau , not far away from Bordeaux, to see my brother Thomas, his wife Svenja and the kids. 

Then, I moved on (another 250km ) before Biarritz and Bayonne. I don' t know how many times I stopped to pay the tolls but it seemed to be endless. The north of Spain surprised me with its amazing landscape and I am already impressed even though I haven't seen much of it yet.

I m staying in a hostel tonight as I could not find a camping area where I would pay less than 50 euros, so I guess buying myself a tent was not a bad investment but I reckon I will not even use it once considering the prices here and even on the east coast (and we are still a few days away from high season!)

I met a nice German couple from Hannover and we spent some time of this evening together, before I decided to get myself some yummi tapas...and it was soooo delicious.

Weather here is quiet awful... not what I was expecting yesterday when I got my baggage done for my motorbike.  It started raining some hours ago and a big storm came up (taxi driver told me it' s normal here in the North)  so I changed my plans and instead of staying here for another night, I will move on tomorrow and I try to head up via Saragossa (just crossing fingers that it is not raining tomorrow) - the big advantage of not booking any accommodation in advance :)

that's all for now.. 2 o' clock in the morning and I should really try to sleep...even if its my vacation time. Tomorrow is waiting with some new adventures. nite nite
