Auf so einer Tour ist es unvermeidlich, dass man auch über dies und jenes nachdenkt. Daneben geniesst man aber auch die Natur und Umgebung. Um jede Ecke erwartet einem etwas Neues, oftmals auch Unerwartetes. 

Heute hat mich insbesondere der Wind beschäftigt. Denn im Vergleich zu heute, war der zügige Wind von gestern ein laues Lüftchen. Mein Komoot hat mir eine Windgeschwindigkeit von 42 kmh angezeigt. Mein Gefühl hat mir gesagt, dass es Geschwindigkeiten von 60 bis 80 kmh waren. Da der Wind ziemlich genau von Norden kommt, bin ich mir sicher, dass es sich um den Mistral handelt. Und darüber habe ich folgende Informationen gefunden: Der Mistral ist stürmisch, kalt und trocken. Er kommt aus nördlicher oder nordwestlicher Richtung. Zu jeder Jahreszeit tritt er mit großer Heftigkeit auf, zeigt sich aber insbesondere im Frühjahr, Herbst und Winter regelmäßig mit 40 bis 55 Knoten (8–10 Bft) sowie mit orkanartigen Böen von 64 Knoten und mehr.

Starker Wind ist ermüdend, wenn er von vorne kommt, von der Seite kommend, ist er gefährlich. Einige Male bin ich abgestiegen und zu Fuss gegangen, da ich Angst hatte, umgeblasen zu werden.

Die Landschaften, die ich heute durchfahren durfte, entsprachen genau meinen Vorstellungen. Wenn man dazu noch den herrlichen blauen Himmel und die klare Luft ansieht, kann man den Wind schon fast vergessen. Ich bin dem Meer entlang gefahren, habe unzählige Flüsse und Ausläufer des Meeres überquert und bin durch sandige Wüstenlandschaften gefahren. Einmal sah der Sand vor mir aus, als sei er von Eis oder Schnee bedeckt. Doch es war eine dünne Schicht von Salz, wahrscheinlich durch verdunstetes Meerwasser entstanden.

Besonders schön waren die Kilometer, die mich einem Kanal entlang führten. Links von mir war der Kanal und rechts von mir das Meer, respektive ein Etang, also ein Gemisch von Süss- und Salzwasser.

Heute bin ich durchwegs auf dem EV8 gefahren. Dieser führt von Cadiz bis nach Athen alles der Mittelmeer Küste entlang. Schon bei meiner ersten Tour bin ich oft auf dem EV8 gefahren, allerdings in umgekehrter Richtung.

Meine heutige Kilometerleistung liegt heute einiges unter der von gestern, doch Leistung vom Akku habe ich in etwa gleichviel gebraucht. Gegen den Wind fahren, braucht sehr viel Energie, ähnlich dem einer Steigung hoch fahren.

Ein besonderes Erlebnis hatte ich noch im Hotel: Ohne gebucht zu haben, ging ich in ein Hotel, wo draussen stand, dass sie Zimmer ab 74€ haben. Also ging ich hinein, um mich zu erkundigen. Doch der Mann an der Rezeption sagte mir, dass er nur noch ein Dreibettzimmer hätte für 150€. Das war mir zuviel, denn bei Booking.com hatte ich ein freies Zimmer für 80€ gefunden. Also ging ich weiter, um das andere Hotel zu suchen. Erst da merkte ich, dass es dasselbe Hotel ist. So machte ich übers Handy meine Buchung und ging zurück an die Rezeption. So bekam ich das Dreibettzimmer also für 80€ inklusive einem schönen Parkplatz in einer Garage mit Stromanschluss.

Hoy estaba particularmente preocupado por el viento. Porque en comparación con hoy, el fuerte viento de ayer era una brisa suave. Mi Komoot me mostró una velocidad del viento de 42 kmh. Mi sensación me decía que las velocidades estaban entre 60 y 80 km/h. Como el viento viene más o menos del norte, estoy seguro de que es el mistral. Y encontré la siguiente información al respecto: El Mistral es tormentoso, frío y seco. Proviene del norte o noroeste. Ocurre con gran violencia en cualquier época del año, pero es particularmente común en primavera, otoño e invierno con 40 a 55 nudos (8-10 Bft) y ráfagas huracanadas de 64 nudos y más.

El viento fuerte cansa, si viene de frente, si viene de costado es peligroso. Unas cuantas veces desmonté y caminé porque tenía miedo de que me derribaran.

Los paisajes que pude atravesar hoy eran exactamente lo que quería. Cuando miras el maravilloso cielo azul y el aire limpio, casi puedes olvidarte del viento. Conduje a lo largo del mar, crucé innumerables ríos y estribaciones del mar y atravesé paisajes arenosos y desérticos. En un momento, la arena frente a mí parecía estar cubierta de hielo o nieve. Pero había una fina capa de sal, probablemente causada por la evaporación del agua de mar.

Particularmente bellos fueron los kilómetros que me llevaron a lo largo de un canal. A mi izquierda estaba el canal y a mi derecha el mar, o más bien un etang, una mezcla de agua dulce y salada.

Hoy conduje el EV8 durante todo el recorrido. Esto lleva de Cádiz a Atenas a lo largo de la costa mediterránea. En mi primera gira conduje a menudo el EV8, pero en dirección opuesta.

Mi kilometraje hoy es un poco menor que ayer, pero usé aproximadamente la misma cantidad de energía de la batería. Conducir contra el viento requiere mucha energía, similar a conducir en una pendiente.

Tuve una experiencia especial en el hotel: sin haber reservado, fui a un hotel que decía fuera que tenían habitaciones desde 74€. Entonces entré a preguntar. Pero el señor de recepción me dijo que sólo tenía una habitación de tres camas por 150€. Eso fue demasiado para mí porque encontré una habitación gratis en Booking.com por 80€. Entonces seguí buscando el otro hotel. Sólo entonces me di cuenta de que era el mismo hotel. Entonces hice mi reserva en mi celular y volví a recepción. Así que conseguí la habitación de tres habitaciones por 80 €, incluida una bonita plaza de aparcamiento en un garaje con electricidad.

The landscapes I was able to ride through today were exactly what I had imagined. If you add to that the beautiful blue sky and the clear air, you can almost forget about the wind. I rode along the sea, crossed countless rivers and sea shores, and rode through sandy desert landscapes. At one point the sand in front of me looked as if it was covered in ice or snow. But it was a thin layer of salt, probably caused by evaporated sea water.

The kilometers that took me along a canal were particularly beautiful. To my left was the canal and to my right was the sea, or rather a lagoon, a mixture of fresh and salt water.

Today I rode the entire way on the EV8. This runs from Cadiz to Athens along the Mediterranean coast. Even on my first tour I often rode on the EV8, but in the opposite direction.

My mileage today is quite a bit lower than yesterday, but I used about the same amount of battery power. Riding against the wind requires a lot of energy, similar to riding up a hill.

I had a special experience in the hotel: Without having booked, I went to a hotel where it said outside that they had rooms from €74. So I went in to inquire. But the man at the reception told me that he only had a triple room left for €150. That was too much for me, because I had found a free room on Booking.com for €80. So I went on to look for the other hotel. Only then did I realize that it was the same hotel. So I made my booking on my cell phone and went back to the reception. So I got the triple room for €80, including a nice parking space in a garage with an electricity connection.
