02 in Girona

Mit einer Stunde Verspätung, also kurz nach 8 Uhr, bin ich mit dem Bus in Girona angekommen. Die Fahrt mit dem Velo vom Flugplatz nach Girona war kurz und nicht besonders anstrengend. 

Da meine Gastgeberin nicht da war, hat mich ein Bekannter von ihr empfangen. Doch einmal mehr war es mit dem Fahrrad nicht so einfach, wie sie mir das gesagt hat. Schlussendlich war es eine schweisstreibende Arbeit, bis es im Parterre mit der Alarmanlage parkiert war. 

Nach 2 Stunden Schlaf, den ich wirklich nötig hatte, habe ich einen abwechslungsreichen Spaziergang durch Girona gemacht. Beeindruckende Sicht auf die Stadt habe ich speziell von der begehbaren Stadtmauer gehabt. Danach habe ich auch die grosse Kathedrale besucht.

Auf der Fahrt mit dem eBike war es noch ziemlich kühl. Doch es wurde rasch wärmer bis zu sommerlichen 25°, wobei der Himmel den ganzen Tag über strahlend blau war.

Llegué a Girona en autobús con una hora de retraso, poco después de las 8 de la mañana. El viaje en bicicleta desde el aeropuerto hasta Girona fue corto y no particularmente agotador.

Como mi anfitriona no estaba, una conocida suya me recibió. Pero una vez más no fue tan fácil con la bicicleta como me dijo. Al final fue mucho trabajo sudoroso hasta aparcarlo en la planta baja con el sistema de alarma.

Después de 2 horas de sueño, que tanto necesitaba, di un paseo variado por Girona. Tenía una vista impresionante de la ciudad, especialmente desde la accesible muralla. Después visité también la gran catedral.

Todavía hacía bastante frío el paseo en eBike. Pero rápidamente subió la temperatura hasta los 25° veraniegos, y el cielo estuvo de un azul brillante durante todo el día.

I arrived in Girona by bus an hour late, just after 8 a.m. The bike ride from the airport to Girona was short and not particularly strenuous.

Since my host wasn't there, a friend of hers met me. But once again it wasn't as easy with the bike as she had told me. In the end, it was a sweaty job to park it on the ground floor with the alarm system.

After 2 hours of sleep, which I really needed, I went on a varied walk through Girona. I had an impressive view of the city, especially from the walkable city wall. After that, I also visited the large cathedral.

It was still quite cool on the eBike ride. But it quickly warmed up to a summery 25°, with the sky being bright blue all day long.
