Tag 8: Wellington - New Plymouth

Heute muss ich etwas früher aus den Federn denn für mich geht es wieder einmal an den Flughafen. Das heutige Ziel wird New Plymouth sein. Ich glaube nicht, dass ich je mit einer Propellermaschine geflogen bin. Das Flugzeug hat eine Kapazität von 52 Leuten plus die Besatzung. Es ist ein kurzer und gemütlicher Flug.

In New Plymouth angekommen nehme ich ein Taxi zu meinem Hostel. Der Fahrer heisst Wayne und gibt mir ein paar Tipps was man hier in New Plymouth so alles machen kann. Ich deponiere mein Gepäck im Hostel und gehe auf Entdeckungstour. Die Stadt gefällt mir schon jetzt viel besser als Wellington da alles viel kleiner und ländlicher ist. Ein weiterer Punkt welcher für New Plymouth spricht, ist dass ich mich sehr gut zurecht finde. In Wellington hatte ich zeitlich regelrechte Orientierungsprobleme. Das Hostel ist eher familiär gehalten, was mir sehr gut gefällt. Da ich etwas angeschlagen bin kehre ich zu meinem Hostel zurück um etwas Schlaf nachzuholen. Als ich erwache ist es bereits 18:00. Da die Sonne in 15 untergeht mache ich mich schnell auf den Weg an den Strand um ein paar tolle Bilder zu schiessen. Dies gelingt mir auch recht gut und ich bin mit meinem Ergebnis zu frieden. Die folgenden zwei Tage in New Plymouth werden bestimmt klasse.

Today I have to get up quite early cause I'm going to the airport once again. Today's destination is going to be New Plymouth. I don't think that I have ever flew with the propeller-driven plane. The plane has a capacity of 52 people plus the crew. It's a short and comfortable flight.

As I arrive in New Plymouth I take a taxi to my hostel. The cab drivers name is Wayne and he gives me some advice on what to do and see in New Plymouth. I leave my luggage at the hostel and go on an expedition. I already like this city more than Wellington. Everything is smaller and more rural. Another reason why I like New Plymouth more is that I know where I am. There were a couple of situations where I felt lost in Wellington. What I like about the hostel is that it's very familiar. Because I'm not feeling that good I go back to the hostel to get some rest. As I wake up it's already 6 PM. Because the sun will set in about 15 minutes I hurry up to get to the beach on time and also to get some great pictures. I succeed and am happy about the results. I'm sure that the next two days in New Plymouth will be exciting.
