Tag 24: Waiheke island & Auckland

So schnell ist er leider schon gekommen. Meiner letzter Tag in Neuseeland. Wow. Ich kann es kaum fassen dass schon 3 1/2 vorbei sind. Hoffentlich wird das Wetter in den nächsten Stunden besser. Im Moment regnet es. So ist es nicht witzig den Hügel hinunter zu fahren. Ich nehme die Fähre nach Waiheke Island und werde dort mit einem Minibus abgeholt und zur Anlage gebracht. Von hier aus hat man eine unglaubliche Aussicht. Ganz weit in der Ferne ist sogar Auckland zu erblicken. Wird werden ausgestattet und dann geht es los. Wir fahren ein 200 Meter langes Metallseil den Hügel hinunter. Dies wiederholen wir noch 2 Mal. Es ist erstaunlich. Man hängt 30 bzw. 50 Meter über dem Abgrund. Nach dem Ziplining absolvieren wir noch eine kleine Waldwanderung. Echt ein cooles Erlebnis. Nach der ganzen Aktion fährt uns Sara wieder zum Fährenterminal und es geht zurück nach Auckland. Das Wetter ist mittlerweile wunderschön. Es ist warm und der Himmel ist blau. Um mich noch ein bisschen auszuruhen gehe ich zurück ins Hotel. Um 21:30 treffe ich mich nochmals mit Andrew um ihm den Schlüssel zu übergeben. Danach steige ich in den Skybus ein welcher mich zum Flughafen bringt.

Sadly this day has come so fast. My last day in New Zealand. Wow. I almost can’t believe that it already has been 3 1/2 weeks. Hopefully the weather is getting better within the next few hours. It’s raining at the moment. Like that it’s not funny to go down a hill on a zipline. I take the ferry to Waiheke island where I get picked up by a mini bus that takes me to the facility. From here you have an incredible view. Far away you can even see Auckland. We put on the gear and then it’s time to get started. We are driving down a 200 meter-long steel cable. We repeat that two times. It’s amazing. You are hanging 30 respectefly 50 meters of the ground. After the ziplining we are doing a little bush walk. A really cool experience. After the whole thing, Sara is driving us to the ferry terminal and it’s time to go back to Auckland. The weather now is great. It’s warm and the sky is blue. To get some rest before my flight I go to the hotel. At 9:30 p.m. I am meeting Andrew once again to hand him his key. After that I enter the Skybus which takes me to the airport.
