Trip zum Geburtsort Nackenheim

Da wo Carl Zuckmeyer geboren wurde. Nackenheim, eine kleine Perle am Ufer des Rheines. Als Kinder sind wir dort aufgewachsen und Nackenheim ist nicht nur ein malerischer Ort, es war für uns Kinder auch ein gigantischer Abenteuerspielplatz. Egal ob am Rhein oder im dortigen Vogelschutzgebiet oder in den Weinbergen, es gab immer viel zu entdecken und viele kleine Abenteuer zu erleben. Außerdem hat Nackenheim das Glück, zwei Inseln im Fluss vor sich zu haben. Dort sind wir im Sommer immer mit der Fähre hingefahren und haben schöne Stunden am Strand erlebt. Später auch gezeltet. Schwimmen gelernt hatten wir ebenfalls im Rhein. Nackenheim wurde über die Landesgrenzen hinaus bekanntals "Der fröhliche Weinberg" ein bekanntes Stück vom Nackenheimer Carl Zuckmeyer! Über allem thront, auf einem Hügel, die jahrhundertealte, wunderschöne St. Gereon Kirche. Und eine kleine Bergkapelle in den Weinhügeln!

Where Carl Zuckmeyer was born. Nackenheim, a little pearl on the banks of the Rhine. We grew up there as children and Nackenheim is not only a picturesque place, it was also a gigantic adventure playground for us children. Whether on the Rhine or in the bird sanctuary there or in the vineyards, there was always a lot to discover and many little adventures to experience. Nackenheim is also lucky to have two islands in the river. We always took the ferry there in the summer and spent lovely hours on the beach. Later we also camped. We also learned to swim in the Rhine. Nackenheim became known beyond the country's borders as "The Happy Vineyard", a well-known play by Nackenheim's Carl Zuckmeyer! Above everything, on a hill, towers the centuries-old, beautiful St. Gereon Church. And a small mountain chapel in the wine hills!
