Auf meiner heutigen Tour gab es einige Highlights. Ganz besonders hat mich die Stadt Lomza beeindruckt. Zwar habe ich mir nicht die Zeit genommen, alle Sehenswürdigkeiten zu besuchen, aber der Marktplatz mit seinem grossen Brunnen hat mir sehr gefallen. Es gibt viele beeindruckende Gebäude, von denen ich zahlreiche Fotos gemacht habe. Auf dem Platz von Papst Johannes Paul II. gibt es unter anderem eine schöne Statue von ihm: Papst Johannes Paul II. besuchte Lomża während seiner Reisen durch Polen. Dies war ein bedeutendes Ereignis für die Stadt und die Region, da es den Glauben und die Hoffnung der Menschen in einer Zeit des Wandels stärkte.

Auf der Fahrt nach Lomza, die fast immer nach Westen führt, hatte ich Seitenwind. Für die paar Kilometer meiner heutigen Tour hatte ich genügend Energiereserven, weshalb es mich nicht sonderlich störte.

Auf dieser Strecke habe ich auch einen schönen Picknickplatz gefunden, mit einem kleinen Aussichtsturm für die Vogelbeobachtung. Besonders viele Störche sind hier zu finden. Diese sterben hier wohl kaum aus; eher die Frösche, bei diesen vielen Fressfeinden. Auch in den baltischen Staaten ist mir die Menge an diesen schönen Vögeln schon aufgefallen. Es gibt kein Dorf, in dem nicht mindestens ein Storchennest zu finden ist.

Aber auch landwirtschaftlich hat es mir gefallen, und ebenfalls, dass es heute keine schwierigen Wege gab. Die zu befahrenden Strassen hatten sehr wenig Verkehr. So ergab sich eine durchaus angenehme Fahrt, und ab Lomza hatte ich mehrheitlich Rückenwind.

Bezüglich Hunden gibt es noch folgende Geschichte zu erzählen: Keiner der vielen Hunde, die mich heute angebellt haben, konnte aus seinem Grundstück hinaus, um mit mir ein Wettrennen zu machen. Bei meiner Mittagspause am Rand eines riesigen unbenutzten Parkplatzes kam in aller Ruhe ein grosser Hund herüber. Kein Grund zur Aufregung; er hat weder gebellt noch ist er feindselig auf mich zugegangen. Da ich am Essen war, hoffte er, dass etwas für ihn abfällt. Natürlich habe ich ihm nichts gegeben, sondern nur freundlich mit ihm gesprochen. Daher hat er mich als seinen Freund behandelt und wollte unbedingt mit mir kommen. Im Rückspiegel habe ich ihn noch eine ganze Weile gesehen, bis dann der Abstand zu gross wurde.

En mi recorrido de hoy, hubo algunos momentos destacados. La ciudad de Lomza me impresionó especialmente. Aunque no me tomé el tiempo para visitar todos los lugares de interés, la plaza del mercado con su gran fuente me gustó mucho. Hay muchos edificios impresionantes, de los cuales tomé numerosas fotos. En la plaza del Papa Juan Pablo II, hay entre otras cosas una hermosa estatua de él: el Papa Juan Pablo II visitó Lomża durante sus viajes por Polonia. Este fue un acontecimiento significativo para la ciudad y la región, ya que fortaleció la fe y la esperanza de la gente en un tiempo de cambios.

En el camino hacia Lomza, que casi siempre va hacia el oeste, tuve viento lateral. Para los pocos kilómetros de mi recorrido hoy, tenía suficientes reservas de energía, así que no me molestó demasiado.

En esta ruta también encontré un bonito lugar para hacer un picnic, con un pequeño mirador para la observación de aves. Aquí se pueden encontrar especialmente muchas cigüeñas. Es poco probable que desaparezcan; más bien, son las ranas las que corren más riesgo, con tantos depredadores. También en los Estados Bálticos me he fijado en la cantidad de estas hermosas aves. No hay pueblo en el que no se encuentre al menos un nido de cigüeñas.

Además, me gustó el paisaje agrícola y que hoy no hubo caminos difíciles. Las carreteras que recorrí tenían muy poco tráfico. Así resultó un viaje bastante agradable, y a partir de Lomza, no faltó el viento a favor.

Respecto a los perros, hay una historia más que contar: ninguno de los muchos perros que me ladraron hoy pudo salir de su propiedad para correr conmigo. Durante mi pausa para el almuerzo, al borde de un enorme aparcamiento deshabilitado, un gran perro se acercó tranquilamente. No había motivo para alarmarse; ni ladró ni se mostró hostil hacia mí. Como estaba comiendo, esperaba que algo cayera para él. Por supuesto, no le di nada, solo hablé amablemente con él. Por ello, me trató como a su amigo y quería venir conmigo. Lo vi en el espejo retrovisor durante un buen tiempo, hasta que la distancia se volvió demasiado grande.

On my tour today, there were some highlights. I was particularly impressed by the city of Lomza. Although I did not take the time to visit all the sights, I really liked the market square with its large fountain. There are many impressive buildings, and I took numerous photos of them. In the square of Pope John Paul II, there is, among other things, a beautiful statue of him: Pope John Paul II visited Lomża during his travels through Poland. This was a significant event for the city and the region, as it strengthened the faith and hope of the people during a time of change.

They are unlikely to go extinct; rather, it's the frogs that are at risk, given the many predators. I have also noticed the abundance of these beautiful birds in the Baltic States. There is no village without at least one stork nest.

I also enjoyed the agricultural landscape and the fact that there were no difficult roads today. The roads I traveled had very little traffic. Thus, it resulted in a quite pleasant ride, and from Lomza, I mostly had a tailwind.

Regarding dogs, there's one more story to tell: None of the many dogs that barked at me today could get out of their property to race with me. During my lunch break at the edge of a huge unused parking lot, a big dog approached me calmly. There was no reason to be alarmed; he neither barked nor came towards me in a hostile manner. Since I was eating, he hoped that something would fall for him. Of course, I didn't give him anything, but spoke to him kindly. That's why he treated me like his friend and really wanted to come with me. I saw him in the rearview mirror for quite a while until the distance became too great.
