**English:**

I cannot remember that, upon departure, I had to my horror realize that the batteries of the e-bike had not been charged. However, I am sure that after plugging it in, I checked to see if it was really charging. Many times before I have checked the charging process again before sleeping, and it has never failed. But today, when I had planned a 130-km tour, there was only enough capacity for 33 kilometers. That isn't enough even for the ride to Suwalki, which is the remainder of yesterday's plan.

Sound advice is costly, as without motorized assistance, the e-bike is hardly movable. So, I started the charging process again and went for a walk. During my walk, I decided to only go to Suwalki today; anything more would have been unrealistic.

After the walk around the beautiful church, the control unit showed a capacity of 65 kilometers. I considered this sufficient to reach Suwalki. The planned route was about 55 kilometers long on Komoot.

The wind was supposed to be weaker today than yesterday. Unfortunately, that was not the case. At least according to my feeling, it came with the same strength from the west. That means mostly crosswind from the right, but often with a change in direction, it also turns into headwind, rarely tailwind. Fortunately, the path often led through the forest, where the wind was barely noticeable.

On the other hand, I had to struggle with loose terrain again for several kilometers. According to Komoot, a few additional kilometers were added, as my host Alges had already informed me. He is a veterinarian and often goes to the farmers to take care of cows and other large animals. He had already offered me yesterday to drive me there by car so I would know the route. That way, the surprise would have been over, and what do a few kilometers mean in the grand scheme of things?

Then came another key point of my Baltic tour. With the border crossing into Poland, I left Lithuania and thus the last Baltic State. With that, I have reached the essential goal of my trip and am now only on the way back.

But is that really so? I am also curious about Poland—a country that is new to me as well. And it's large, which means that I will likely need nearly as long to cross it as I did for the Baltics. The first impression is positive, and the transition from Lithuania to Poland is not a culture shock. If it weren't for the border sign, I wouldn't have even noticed that I was in another country.

During my lunch break, when I realized that I could surely reach Suwalki, I reserved a room by phone. And here I am now, hoping that I can carry out my long tour tomorrow.
