9. Tag - Day 9 (for english scroll donw)

Heute morgen gings ab ins Monterey Aquarium. Es war sehr gut gemacht, tierfreundlich und informativ. Leider haben wir es jedoch nicht so mit dem Parkieren in den US. Erst haben wir eine Parkuhr vom Nachbarn bezahlt, dann wollten wir zahlen und es wurde uns gesagt dass man gratis 2 Std. parkieren kann und zu guter Letzt als wir aus dem Aquarium kamen hatten wir eine 35$ Busse weil wir eben nicht bezahlt hatten.... Jetzt muss ich noch rausfinden wie ich diese bezahlen kann. Dann haben wir die Highway 1 wieder unter die Räder genommen, die unheimlich schöne Küste genossen, unseren ersten TacoBell unseres Lebens reingezogen beim Biobauern Erdbeeren und Pfirsiche aufgestockt und sind am späteren Nachmittag in San Francisco angekommen. Es hiess dass es am Nachmittag weniger Nebel hat an der Golden Gate Bridge, also haben wir uns gleich auf den Weg gemacht. Nebel hatte es auch, zu einem unheimlich starken Wind der uns fast vom ViewPoint weggeblasen hat ;-) Wir probieren es dann morgen nochmals. Zum Dinner gabs einen leckeren Spanier um im "groov" zu bleiben. San Franzisco ist so anders als was wir bisher gesehen haben. Wir sind überwältigt von der vielfalt die uns die USA bietet und freuen uns auf was uns noch bevorsteht.

Today we visited the Monterey Auqarium. It is really well done, animal friendly and informative. Unfortunately we haven't figured out the parking rules in this country. The first time we paid the parkometer of the neighbour, then we were told that the first 2 hours are free, only to come back from the Aquarium and find a fine of 35$ because we had not paid the first 2 hours... now I have to find out how to pay this fine..
Thereafter we hit the Highway 1 road again, enjoyed the beautiful coastline, tried our first TacoBell ever, bought fresh organic strawberries and Nectarines from the farmer, and arrived late afternoon in San Francisco. We were told that there is less fog in the afternoon around the Golden Gate Bridge so we headed straight to it. Unfortunateely it not only had loads of fog, but also such a strong wind which blow us nearly away from the Viewpoint :-) We shall try it tomorrow again. For Dinner we visited a Spanish Restaurant just to remain in the groov. San Francisco is really different to what we have seen so far. We are very overwhelmed on the variety the US has to offer- and there is more to come:-) we are very excited.
