7. Tag - day 7 (for english scroll down)

Reisetag: um 3.45 Uhr aufi… und ab zu Newark Airport. Schnell noch ein paar Bagels kaufen, weil’s auf dem 11 Stundenflug anscheinend nix zum knabbern gibt. Lief eigentlich auch alles paletti, bis die die Frachttüre nicht zubekamen… Ansage vom Pilot war bedenklich: «not sure what the problem is»!! OK nach 2 Stunden liessen sie uns mal raus die Beine vertreten. Weitere ansage vom Captain: «if you need to scream at someone, I send my first officer to the front 😊» So nach 3 Stunden gings dann auch wirklich los – hurra – jetzt nur noch 11 Stunden. Die gingen irgendwie auch schnell vorbei und wenig später hatten wir schon den Sand an den Zehen von Waikiki und fanden alles nur grossartig. Die weiteren 6 Stunden Zeitverschiebung nagten an der Substanz, so dass nach einer kleinen Stärkung erschöpft ins Bett vielen. PS an Andrea & Claude: Kaum zu glauben aber wenn wir vom Hotelfenster raus schauen hats gleich gegenüber ein Wolfgangs! Also nix mit Vegetarischem Urlaub in Hawaii 😊

Travel day: got up at 3.45am… headed direction Newark Airport. We quickly bought a few Bagels, as there wasn’t apparently any food on the 11 hour flight. Everything went well until they couldn’t close the luggage door…. Announcement from the captain wasn’t really reassuring: “not sure what the problem is”!! After 2 hours they let us out to stretch. A further announcement from the captain: «if you need to scream at someone, I send my first officer to the front 😊» After approximately 3 hours we finally took off – hurray – only a further 11 hours to go. Somehow they passed rather quickly and shortly after landing we felt the sand of Waikiki around our toes – phantastic! The 6 hour time difference kicked in and after a quick meal we fell exhausted to bed. PS to Andrea & Claude: hard to believe but there is a Wolfgangs around the corner from the hotel!! No vegetarian holiday in Hawaii then 😊
