10.Tag - Day 10 (for english scroll down)

Es war eigentlich kein anstrengender Tag, aber wir sind dennoch total kaputt ins Bett gefallen. Am morgen hatte ich eine sehr erfolgreiche on-line Session: 1.) Busse bezahlt; 2.) Golden Gate überquerung mit dem Auto Gebühr bezahlt; 3.) Hop on Hop off Busticket gelöst :-) Sparfuchs schlechthin :-) Wir haben eine Stadtrundfahrt mit dem Bus gemacht, halt recht touristisch aber es gab einen guten Eindruck der Stadt. Im Chinatown haben wir eine Pekingente bestellt, aber Zoë bevorzugte weissen Reis :-) Wir sind noch 2x zur Goldengate Brücke gefahren, aber der Nebel hing so tief dass man kaum die Hand vor dem Gesicht sah.... um 18.30 gings dann nach Alkatraz. Wir haben eine unglaublich gute Führung genossen und waren tief beeindruckt. Wenn Zoë nicht so kalt gehabt hätte, wäre sie am liebsten bis zur letzten Rückfahrt geblieben und alle informationen aufgesogen. Geschichte begeistert sie wirklich. 

Theoretically it was not a busy day, but we non the less crashed exhausted to bed in the evening. In the morning I had a rather successful session on line: 1.) I managed to pay the parking ticket; 2.) I paid the Golden Gate fare for driving through; 3.) I booked the Hop on Hop off Busticket online. That way we saved some serious money :-) We did the citytour on the bus which is rather touristy, but it gives a good flair of the city. For lunch we ordered royal Peking Duck in Chinatown, but Zoë sticked to white rice :-) During the day we drove twice to the Goldengate bridge, but it was so foggy that we hardly could see our hand... At 6.30pm we then embarked to Alkatraz where we enjoyed a incredible good guide - we were deeply impressed. Unfortunately Zoë was freezing, otherwise she would have loved to stay until the very last return to soak in all the information. She thoroughly loves history!
