Neue Freunde/ New friends

Hier bin ich wieder! 🙃

Im Moment ist hier echt viel los. Das ist auch der Grund, warum ich nicht so viel Zeit habe. 😅

Aber hier ein kurzes Update:

Ich habe gemerkt, dass in der Anfangsphase (die 4 Wochen lang geht) wenig Zeit bleibt für soziale Medien, aber auch für das Facetimen mit Freunden und der Familie. 

In dieser Woche haben wir uns Studenten erstmal kennen gelernt. Wir hatten die ersten theologischen Unterrichtsstunden und ebenso die ersten Reitstunden. Leider fangen wir von ganz vorne an, was für mich ein bisschen „langweilig“ ist, weil ich zweieinhalb Jahre Reitunterricht hatte und schon einiges kenne. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Aber naja, man lernt nie aus. 😜

Dienstag hatten wir ein Treffen mit unserer Beratungsfamilie. Wir hatten ein gemeinsames Abendessen und danach eine gemütliche Runde im privaten Kreise. Die Beratungsfamilie steht für mich jederzeit zur Verfügung, wenn ich irgendwelche Fragen habe. Es ist hier wirklich familiär. Jeder ist für jeden da. 

Wir haben heute eine Kirche besucht und sind danach wieder in den Walmart gefahren. Ich kam wieder nicht klar alles zu finden, was ich brauchte. Doch ich bekam tatkräftige Unterstützung von den anderen Studenten (s. Bilder). Sie zeigten mir alles, was ich brauchte. ☺️ Wir hatten wirklich viel Spaß. :D

Übrigens sind die Amerikaner sehr offen für neues. Sie interessieren sich für unsere deutsche Sprache. Also gebe ich ihnen manchmal ein paar Wörter oder Sätze zum üben. Die Aussprache ist manchmal ein bisschen schwierig, aber es hört sich wirklich lustig an. 😂

Here I am again! 🙃

At the moment there is a lot going on here. That is also the reason why I don't have that much time. 😅

But here a short update:

 I noticed that in the initial phase (which lasts for 4 weeks) there is little time for social media, but also for facetiming with friends and family. 

This week we students got to know each other for the first time. We had our first theological lessons and also the first riding lessons. Unfortunately, we are starting from scratch, which is a bit "boring" for me, because I had two and a half years of riding lessons and already know a lot of things. 🤷🏼‍♀️ But well, you never stop learning. 😜

Tuesday we had a meeting with our consulting family. We had a dinner together and afterwards a cosy round in a private circle. The consulting family is always available for me if I have any questions. It is really familiar here. Everyone is there for everyone.

We visited a church today and then went back to the Walmart. Again I was not able to find everything I needed. But I got a lot of support from the other students (see pictures). They showed me everything I needed. ☺️ We really had a lot of fun. :D 

By the way, the Americans are very open for new things. They are interested in our German language. So sometimes I give them a few words or sentences to practice. The pronunciation is sometimes a bit difficult, but it sounds really funny. 😂
