After Agnes Water we passed Mackay, slept there and then we went on to Airlie Beach and Bowen. Really nice there although you can still see the damages of Cyclone Debbie.
Airlie is very touristy, especially very young people because of all the clubs and pubs there.
We spent the night in Ayr and early in the morning, as always, we packed our things and headed off to Townsville. Very lovely quiet city near the ocean.
On top of the Castle Hill you have a great view over to Magnetic Island.
In the afternoon we decided to see Wallaman Falls which I found in my Lonely Planet.
A 50km drive inland , to the top of a mountain. Steep, windy road ( the brakes of my car didn't really like the way back ).
The waterfall is Australia's biggest single-stage waterfall with 268m .
Just WOW.
2km slippery steep downhills trekk was worth it.
