Tourdaten: Strecke 101.28 Kilometer (kum. 3‘940 Kilometer), Ø 20.1 km/h, Fahrzeit 5:02 Stunden 

Wetter: Es hätte nicht schöner sein können. Wind von Norden und ich bin in südwestlicher Richtung gefahren, also mehrheitlich Rückenwind. Temperaturen im warmen Bereich, jetzt um 16 Uhr in Rotterdam 23°. 

Heute habe ich das Startfoto nicht vergessen. Es entstand um 07:53 Uhr – später als ich wollte. Dafür hatte ich schon gefrühstückt. Selbstgekochten Tee, ein Brötchen mit Salami und ein Müsliriegel. Und natürlich auch noch etwas Milch. 

Die Tour führte mich gleich auf einen Damm, dem ich lange folgen konnte. Und dann kam auch schon bald der erste Ort, den ich durchfahren musste. Es sollten heute noch einige kommen. Es war sozusagen der Tag der Städtebesichtigungen. 

3 Orte möchte ich dabei erwähnen. Bei diesen Orten habe ich auch Umwege gemacht, um etwas zu sehen und um Fotos für dich zu machen. 😀

Das waren folgende Ortschaften: Utrecht, Oudewater, Gouda und Rotterdam. Alles Orte mit vielen Kanälen und sonstigen Wassern. Auch viele Zugbrücken, Hausboote und Schleusen gab es zu sehen. 

Zwar gab es auch heute viele Radwege, doch oft waren es nur eingezeichnete Spuren auf der Strasse. Trotzdem habe ich mir unterwegs Gedanken über Radwege auf meiner Reise gemacht. Dabei ist mir aufgefallen, dass es in Holland am meisten gibt. Auch der Norden von Deutschland schneidet recht gut ab. In Schweden habe ich auch Enttäuschungen gehabt. Insbesondere denke ich dabei an meine grässlichen Erfahrungen auf der Autobahn. 

Utrecht hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Beeindruckend fand ich den Radweg, der in einem eleganten Bogen auf eine Hängebrücke führt, die nur für Radfahrer ist. Doch auch das Stadtzentrum hätte ich noch länger anschauen können. 

Oudewater ist zwar im Vergleich klein. Seine schönen Häuser und Gassen haben mich sehr überrascht, einfach so richtig holländisch!

Nur um 2 Tage habe ich in Gouda Nicole verpasst. Von ihr habe ich schon einige Fotos gesehen und so hatte ich ein paar mal das Gefühl des Dejavu. Schade, dass wir nicht gleichzeitig da waren. Nicole ist die Freundin, die ich in Curslack bei Hamburg vor ein paar Wochen besucht habe. Die Erinnerung an den Besuch in der Elbphilharmonie ist unvergesslich. 

Das Hotel, in dem ich jetzt in Rotterdam bin, liegt mitten im Zentrum. Zeit also, die Stadt noch etwas zu erkunden.

Weather: It couldn't have been nicer. Wind from the north and I drove in a southwesterly direction, so mostly tailwind. Temperatures in the warm range, now at 4 p.m. in Rotterdam 23°.

Today I didn't forget the start photo. It was created at 07:53 - later than I wanted. I had already had breakfast for that. Homemade tea, a roll with salami and a muesli bar. And of course some milk too.

The tour immediately took me to a dam that I was able to follow for a long time. And then soon came the first place I had to drive through. There should be a few more today. It was, so to speak, the day of the city tours.

I would like to mention 4 places. I also made detours at these places to see something and to take photos for you. 😀

These were the following places: Utrecht, Oudewater, Gouda and Rotterdam. All places with many canals and other water. There were also many drawbridges, houseboats and locks to see.

Although there were many cycle paths today, they were often only marked tracks on the road. Nevertheless, on the way I thought about bike paths on my trip. It struck me that Holland has the most. The north of Germany is also doing quite well. I also had disappointments in Sweden. In particular, I'm thinking of my horrible experiences on the Autobahn.

I really liked Utrecht. I was impressed by the cycle path, which leads in an elegant arc to a suspension bridge that is only for cyclists. But I could have looked at the city center longer.

Oudewater is small in comparison. I was very surprised by its beautiful houses and alleys, just really Dutch!

Only by 2 days I missed Nicole in Gouda. I've already seen a few photos of her and so I had the feeling of dejavu a few times. Too bad we weren't there at the same time. Nicole is the friend I visited in Curslack near Hamburg a few weeks ago. The memory of the visit to the Elbphilharmonie is unforgettable.

The hotel I'm staying at now in Rotterdam is right in the center. So time to explore the city a bit more.
