Day 173 Quorn

Veröffentlicht: 03.12.2022

Our last day in the Ikara Flinders Range we spent in the small town of Quorn. Stuart enjoyed for his big day a pancake stack with Nutella and a big cup of coffee before he wanted to explore at first the playground at Quorn. Stuart thought it was very strange that there was a snail but no kangaroo at the playground.

Stuart was not so impressed by the playground so he was exploring the city: there is an old railway, which is not in use anymore as well as an old Railway Station, which is used for the tourist railway. Stuart discovered a small railway a bit further away next to a small house and wanted to drive away with it, so we had to point out a group of yellow footed rock wallabies to Stuart to distract him.

Then we took Stuart for a short walk through town, exploring old houses, city hall, post office, local paintings as well as trees with red fruit.

On our way to the Cafe or Bakery in town, Stuart discovered another yellow footed rock wallaby. Unfortunately the cafe was closed and the advertised bakery was no bakery but some kind of shop nowadays.

Our walk through town with Stuart was eagerly watched by the locals and Stuart greeted from all sides. So Stuart also said hello to a local dog resting at the back of a car. In the Quorn Botanical Garden Stuart also said hello to the local wildlife, which was a bit more confused about his presence.
