Day 188 Kangaroo Valley sightseeing

Veröffentlicht: 24.12.2022

It is time to explore the sights at Kangaroo Valley: first stop is Fitzroy Falls. With all the rain of the last days there was still water at the fall. The first lookout only give partial views on the fall, so we walked to another lookout for a full view on the fall.

Next stop for us was the Manning Lookout, which gave some views over the area and with the shadows of the clouds some interesting photos.

Our next stop was supposed to be Jervis Bay. Well, at the entrance to the area there were big signs, that some beaches are closed, everything is fully booked and one has to pay entrance fee just to drive around and explore as we planned to do. With the beaches closed and so many people around, we decided it is not worth the hassle.

Instead of Jervis Bay, we decided to visit another time the Bendeela campground and look for some wombats. This evening we were particularly successful and saw quite a few wombats on their way looking for food. Even back at our accommodation we found a wombat on the golf course having its dinner.
