Mount Olympus (02-10-2020)

My first weekend in Greece. After some research on what do in Thessaloniki, I found out that the highest mountain of Greece is only an hour away by train. Sooo, I found some people who are also interested in seeing the mount Olympus, and we booked all together a tour. The tour guide picked us up at the train station of Litochoro. We drove almost one hour to reach the first stop. We were all really excited to see, what was waiting for us. We walked a short path and finally arrived. No one had expected such a view. An incredible pretty turkis lagoon with a small waterfall. After we all processed this wonderful view, we slipped into our bathing suits and jumped into the crystal clear water. Of course, this beauty also had an 'evil' side. The water was freezing cold. It had only 3 degrees. As fast as we went in there, we all crawled out again. But for some of us that was not enough thrill. We needed some more jumps from the cliffs. But since this lagoon was not deep enough, we hiked to another lagoon. This one was as beautiful as the first one. Here we could jump from the cliffs and enjoy the sun. After all the adventure we were all very hungry and started to look for a taverna in the village and had some very tasty Greek food.
