After my 72nd birthday at the end of April 2025, I traveled to the north of the island of Borneo, encountering a curious chapter of colonial history and orangutans.

From Kuching, the capital of the Malaysian state of Sarawak, I traveled in three stages 1000 bus kilometers to the Sultanate of Brunei in May 2025.
