Jil Warnke: Hongkong Day 1

Finally, the big adventure began!

Hongkong is the first of our stops. 

That means an eleven hours flight and six hours of time shift. Though this exhausting flight was definitely worth it!

We met at Cologne central station at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. Everyone was pretty excited, but couldn’t really realise that we will be taken off to another continent in a few hours.

It was time to kiss goodbye...

Endlich startet unsere große Reise! Hongkong ist unser erster Stop von vielen.

Das bedeutet ein elfstündiger Flug und zusätzlich 6 Stunden Zeitverschiebung. Trotzdem hat sich dieser lange und anstrengende Flug gelohnt.

Wir haben uns am Dienstag um 15:00 Uhr am Kölner Hauptbahnhof getroffen, um dort den Zug nach Frankfurt zu nehmen. Die Aufregung und Vorfreude war deutlich spürbar und keiner konnte wirklich glauben, dass wir in nur einigen Stunden schon auf einem anderen Kontinent landen würden.

Die Zeit des Abschieds war gekommen…

After picking our luggage at Hongkong International Airport, we went to the hotel. We had some free time then until the evening. We discovered the neighbourhood and some of us went to the mall by a hotel bus.

At the evening, tiredness overwhelmed us and we went to sleep...😴

Nachdem wir unser Gepäck geholt hatten, fuhren wir zum Hotel. Dort hatten wir dann Freizeit, die wir genutzt haben, um etwas zu essen und die Gegend zu erkunden.

Schließlich hat uns dann der Jetlag gepackt und wir sind alle hundemüde ins Bett gefallen.
