Cambodia...

Veröffentlicht: 25.03.2018

We had to fly to Siem Reap,  cause the spare parts for rosy did not arrive in time. There we met my parents to spend two weeks together travelling through Cambodia. In Siem Reap we visited thr Tonle Sap lake and of course the worlds famous Angkor Wat. To get to the Tonle Sap small boats bring you there on a small river, which in the dry season don‘t have much water. In the rainy season the waterlevel raises dramatically, because of these facts all the houses of the village are built on stilts. Really amazing to see this. The next day we started our day early to visit the temples of Angkor Wat, an amazing experience to see the temples of the film Tomb Raider with all the trees growing on the ruins and the temple with the hundreds of Buddha faces. We just visited it for one day but you could also spend there 3-7 days cause the area is really huge. Then we made our way to the capital Phnom Penh going by the Cambodian Post Bus, which was a really comfortable travel. There we visited the infamous Killing Fields, where thausands of people were killed under the regime of Pol Pot. We also made our way to the russian market to get some souvenirs. On the way we stopped at the ministry of tourism to apply for our car permit to enter Cambodia by car, which is a really complicated process. At the last day we made a sunset cruise on the tonle sap, which flows into the Mekong River. The end of our family holidays we spent at Koh Rong Sanloem, a little, non touristic island next to Koh Rong. We just relaxed at the beach, did some diving trips, one night dive and we saw the fluoresent plancton , when you swim in the sea when its dark.
