Harding Icefieldhike _ bear creek hikes _ Kenai city

After coming back from our kayak adventure we again stayed at creek river cabins Tim's place. And added another night so we could stay warm and have steaks and the second night great Sockeye Salmon grilled. 

So Thursday night 4big bone in New York strip steaks and tons of veggies. Good long sleep into Frieda than a 5h hike up to Harding Ice field 1000 m hight elevation gain (3300feet). Gerry got undersugared and ommit Ed in the evening we broke him. He hardly came and helped with the Salmon we got at J _ dock. OK we had a fast Chicken and Soup at Safeway just 3h before when we shopped. 

Sunday we drove to Cooper landing / bear creek. Put up camp and hiked to Russian river falls. Some salmon is running. People said a grizzly was there earlier. 

Monday we sleped in and did a nice motor ride 60m to Kenai city. 60m back. Last 5m in rain. Got ready for another hike to Russian falls. 2.6m one way. All times rain. Up at the falls right after 20min bear showed up.  Happadabbadooo! 

Rain all night. My sleeping bag gets wet now eventually. So cold night. 

We packed without rain but wet and are on the way north now. Just passed Ancourage with destination Talkeetna are right below Denali. The No tourist place 😊👍.  Enjoy the pics.
