Leaving all that rain behind us we made our way from Kenai peninsula through Ancourage to the north. We camped at Byers Lake. We serviced my klr the next morning and decided after lunch to go on a backcountry camping hike. At 3:30pmso at a time where you get to your mountain lodge in the Alps we started a 12miles hike up the ridge to skinny lake. We were all packed with about 30lbs 13kg.
Saw Mt Denali nearly without clouds. Great hike....
Met another group after 6h of non stop hiking at the campground....
Next day all the way back again fantastic weather.
Daylight at 12pm 🌞
