Wochenende♥️

8/11

A little sleep-in and then a dip in the pool.

Mulle took a walk towards Sala Dan and discovered some new paths. Lawa and I took a stroll along the beach to visit our fruit vendor for some restocking.

We pretended to travel through different lands on our way as we walked through deserts and shadow lands. Eventually, we had to go to Iceland (DIY) to cool off. We bought some small things before heading back into the desert again.

Dad came and met us, and we went wild in the fruit store. Mango, melons, passion fruits, and dragon fruits. Lawa always gets some bonus fruits too: only for you♥️

We took the opportunity to try and capture nice footprints in the sand while mostly laughing as the sea washed away all our attempts.

We also stopped by Two Scoops for some ice cream. At first, they always said welcome back. Now they say see you tomorrow 😀

Today, the first delivery from Laza finally arrived, including my toothbrush heads. I had brought the wrong ones from home which were so soft that my teeth never felt brushed. And a bunch of sugar-free drinks, which are a rarity down here.

In the evening, we took a trip to Walking Street and ate our way through the various food stalls. Wow, so much delicious food! We've decided to go all out with our stomachs, so we’re eating everything. So far so good!

It's always fun to run into school friends at these places too.

We also have a favorite woman who sells shakes there, and we’ve shopped there many times. Super sweet! Today she introduced her daughter who was there helping her, about Lawa's age. It's so nice when we start building relationships with the locals. Lawa later returned and bought another shake, and they are just so lovely that Lawa even gave them a tip. And she's fast to say thank you in Thai.

When we headed home, the tuk-tuk driver had his daughter with him, and Lawa bonded with her as she had Labubut slippers. They introduced themselves to each other despite not understanding each other's languages; I love how children see beyond language barriers.

An evening dip and drying on the terrace as usual. How can one go home from this?
