Tag 15: Rotorua - Tauranga

Heute geht’s nach Tauranga. Doch bevor mich der Bus dorthin befördert habe ich noch fast den ganzen Tag hier in Rotorua zur Verfügung. Das es wunderschönes Wetter ist begebe ich mich zuerst an den See um die Sonne zu genießen. Danach mach ich mich auf zu den heissen Quellen. Was meiner Meinung nach noch interessant scheint ist, dass es eigentlich nur Wolken sind. Es hat keine Geysire wie zum Beispiel in Island. Jedoch bin ich zeitlich von einer riesigen Schwefelwolke umzingelt. Diese riecht streng und ist recht warm. Da man mit so einem grossen Koffer im Schlepptau nicht wirklich gross etwas machen kann, gehe ich einfach einkaufen.

Während ich auf meinem Bus warte kommt plötzlich ein Typ auf mich zu. Sein Name ist Wayne und er ist Maori. Auf die Frage ob er denn auch Maori spreche antwortet er mit Nein. Er ist recht speziell. Schlussendlich wollte er nur darauf hinaus, Geld von mir zu bekommen. Außerdem sagt er mehrmals, dass ich hübsch bin und fragt mich ob ich ein Feuerzeug habe. Wirklich ein komischer Typ. Dann kommt zum Glück mein Bus welcher mich nach Tauranga bringt.

In Tauranga angekommen begebe ich mich zu meinem Hotel. Es dauert eine Weile bis ich denn Eingang finde, da dieser am anderen Ende des Gebäudes ist. Da ich den ganzen Tag nichts richtiges gegessen habe, gehe ich ins Restaurant des Hotels. Jedoch bin ich ganz darüber erstaunt, dass ich der einzige Gast bin. Es gibt Burger mit Pommes und einer Coke. Wieder einmal ein ruhiger Tag.

Today I’m heading to Tauranga. But before the bus takes me there, I have almost the whole day here in Rotorua left. Cause it’s beautiful weather, my first stop is the lake so that I can enjoy the sun. After that, I’m on my way to the hot springs. In my opinion it's quiet interesting that there are only clouds. There aren't any geysers like for example in Iceland. Even though I partly am surrounded by a cloud made out of sulfur. This cloud smells really nasty and is quit warm. Cause I can barely do anything caring around a huge suitcase, I decide to go grocery shopping.

While I am waiting for my bus, there suddenly is a guy who is walking towards me. His name is Wayne and he's a Maori. When I ask him if he can speak Maori, his answer is no. He is really special. Eventually he asks me for money. He also tells me multiple times that I am pretty and asks if I have a lighter. A really weird guy. Fortunately my bus is coming, which takes me to Tauranga.

As I arrive in Tauranga I'm heading to my hotel. It takes some time until I find the entry because it's located at the very end of the building. Cause I haven't eat something big all day I am going to the restaurant of the hotel. I am very surprised that I am actually the only guest. I am going for a burger with fries and a coke. Once again a very chill day.
