Tag 12: Huka Falls

Heute gehts zu den Huka Falls. Um dorthin zu kommen habe ich eine ca. zwei stündige Wanderung vor mir. Es ist echt anstrengend jedoch macht die Umgebung alles wet. Nach einem kleinen Kraftakt habe ich dann mein Ziel erreicht. Die Kräfte die hier herrschen sind gewaltig. Es ist eindeutig ein Naturspektakel. Auf dem Rückweg treffe ich auf Song. Er kommt aus Südkorea und hat drei Monate lang in Napier (115km von Taupo entfernt) gearbeitet. Davor hat er zwei Jahre lang in Australien gelebt. Auf die Frage warum er nicht mehr in Südkorea lebt hat er geantwortet, dass seine Art zu leben nicht der südkoreanischen Norm entspricht. Ich unterhalte mich ca. eine Stunde mit ihm wo sich unsere Wege dann wieder trennen. Als ich wieder in meinem Studio ankommen bin ich richtig erschöpft. Ich koche zu Mittag und lege mich ins Bett. Rechtzeitig zum Sonnenuntergang begebe ich mich wieder nach Draußen. Taupo ist eine wirklich schöne Stadt!

Today I’m heading to the Huka Falls. To get there I have to hike for about two hours. It’s really exhausting but the surrounding is worth it. After a small show of strength I have reached my destination. The forces that are ruling here are huge. It’s definitely an art of nature. On my way back I bumped into Song.he’s from South Korea and worked in Napier (115km from Taupo) for three months. Before that he lived in Australia for two years. When I asked him why he doesn’t live in South Korea anymore, he said that his way of living does not match with the South Korean standard. I chatted with him for about one hour until we are going our separate ways again. As I return to my studio am really exhausted and tired. I cook lunch and get some rest. In time for sunset I go outside again. Taupo is a really beautiful town!
