What a start to the day First I couldn't fall asleep because I was worried I might oversleep.... so I lay around. Around 2 o'clock I slowly became calmer and tired. But then...

Really well recovered
Woke up at 10 o'clock and already full of beans. I forgot that I still need a bath towel for tomorrow's trip! So, the city is calling... I quickly found what I was looking for and also bought the food and drinks. Because you have to bring these on the trip itself.
What I noticed is that there is always a bowl of water in front of the houses. Partly the water of the air conditioners is collected and partly water bottles stand beside it. So the many stray cats and dogs are at least supplied with water. Cool thing!
It is also striking that there are many sports stores, clothing stores specializing in Italian fashion and many more pharmacies. Sometimes even 2 on the opposite side of the street. And crossing the streets is a philosophy in itself! Yes, the Greeks also have something similar to traffic lights. But, they don't take it sooo exactly. Especially the pedestrians (I am one of them) cross the streets when it is necessary. Just check the situation, find out the speed of the cars and buses and catch the right moment. Works perfectly! Almost as good as my second project: fixing the squeaky doors in our room and bringing the too low shower head back to a normal height. The Greeks also know WD40 (oil from a can). But a tourist who demands this probably not really. Accordingly big eyes has made the guy when I asked for it. The cable ties I found in another store. Also there rather great amazement at my request. lol
Back in the hostel to do the repairs and then immediately prepare everything for tomorrow. Then sit with the book in the basement in the garden. Music in my ear and suddenly I've finished reading the thick book. A little less wight in my suitcase. Juhui. At least! Smile
Since I've never been to the city in the evening, I decided to eat at the harbor today. With a view of the lighthouse and the many tourists from all countries. Short detour to Alexia's jewelry store (where I was gifted again: this time with a big bag of dried thyme. Yammy). Then back to the hostel to write the 2 reports. Oops, there I find already 2 new roommates; one from Russia one from France. And my long-term roommate from Ireland leaves me tomorrow.
