Blog 4: One Day in Vancouver

Veröffentlicht: 26.02.2018

On my way to New Zealand I had a  short stopover in Vancouver. I used the time to visit the city and to get tired for the 14 hours flight to Auckland. This was my second time in Vancouver and again I was mostly impressed by the geographic location of the city: it is surrounded by mountains, lies next to the ocean and the climate is mild by Canadian standards.

I started my day in Chinatown but left it after a little while. I was planning to attend the Chinese New Years Parade but due to some very pushy homeless people it didn't feel comfortable. Instead,  I walked along the ocean side and visited Granville Island. There you can find a big market and a variety of different stores. I bought a cheese filled bagel - at least I guessed so, however it was filled with cheese cake :p not my favorite...

The rest of the day I walked through the different neighborhoods and I was glad that I found the way back to the airport. From the airport one had a nice view on the mountains and so the time until boarding went by fast. Next stop: Auckland - New Zealand where I'm looking for a suitable Campervan for the next thrilling weeks. Keep your fingers crossed ;)
