The guests were leaving for the overnight tour today and you could feel that the energy was nervous.
They were packing clothes, drinks and "adventure" food that just works with hot water. Also of course a whole lot of stuff for the dogs. Food, clothes, wood chips for sleeping and first aid.
It was warm today, we had like 1°-2° which wasn't good because the dogs can easily overheat. So they delayed the start after lunch so it would be a bit cooler.
Konstantin already drove to the wooden hut with the snow mobile, were they would stay for the night, to offload the supplies.
After the guests left I started to raise the walls on the fireplace to make it more wind protected. After a while more and more people joined in expanding the snow fort.
We started to make rooms and tunnels to connect them, since normal hallways would allow more wind to come through. And we don't want that because the final idea was that we would be able to sleep outside...
Also tunnels are a lot more fun.
Since we had no guests to cook for, we made pizza, which was a welcome change because the weekly menus are always the same.
After that we sat outside by the fire again and made some marshmallows and stick bread. It felt very reminiscent of my old cevi days.
