In the morning I got everything packed and ready. I had bought a bottle of wine and a box of choclate for Vincent and Bernie as a goodbye gift.
They told me they were happy to have me and I can visit anytime when I comeback to Ireland. And I also got a goodbye gift from them in the form of a new winter hat, a set of playing cards, a goodbye card and some maps for documents from the horse farm we visited.
Combined with the sleeping bag, the shirts from the clonmel kidz club and the hoodie I bought back at the husky farm my bag is ready to explode.
I hope I don't get anything in Iceland.
I also said goodbye to svea and hanah and wished them all the best for the rest of their projects. Jade and Sasha were already out and about when I left.
Vincent brought me to the bus stop and the bus actually arrived 10mins early. That never happend before.
I got out in the city center of dublin after a 4hr bus ride, arms full with all my bags and phone in hand to find my way to the hostel. Even so I was asked by 3 different people if I had any spare change or if I could buy them some food.
Thankfully the hostel was very close and I was able to check in with no problems. Then the man at the desk gave me a kind of complicated and confusing description on how to get to my room. But he said that it would be fine since there were signs everywhere.
I thought it couldn't be that hard to find a room... Right?
This hostel is massive, like it seems almost impossible just how big this hostel is. There are stairs, rooms, corners and turns everywhere. I was thinking of a small hostel in the middle of dublin but I had entered a maze.
Every wall was decorated with a different artwork and there were places were you would come across a bunch of people walking around or places were there was nobody.
It felt like I could spent the entire day in the hostel and still would not have seen every corner of it.
They also offered me to join a pub crawl which I did not do.
Instead I walked through dublin just going to wherever seemed interesting, I found a very cool looking boardgame store, a lego store, city parks, ancient buildings.
After dinner I found a place where you could play boardgames that actually turned out to be a hostel. If I had known that sooner I would have probably stayed there instead.
But I still played a round of Catan with a guy named Will who is also a huge D&D fan since he has all the dices tattoed on his back.
Afterwards I headed back to my hostel and got ready to sleep. My flight leaves at 12:15 tomorrow so I don't have to rush in the morning.
