06.04.2023 Child care project

At 09:00 in the morning we arrived at the kidz club. The club is about 30minutes by foot from our house. We could use the bikes but there aren't really any ways that were made for bike riding. Even crosswalks are very rare in the city.

The morning was more calm since it was holy thursday and a lot of kids were staying at home. So there wasn't actually that much to do. I switched between some arts and crafts and playing outside.

I already got a bunch of kids that want to play games with me and are coming around to say hello whenever I go into a room. Like karla and eeva. And today I also played a lot of catch with Leo and Caleb.

More and more kids did arrive after a while and it got a bit more energetic. It was also the last work day for Lars. He had volunteered here for 3 months and really knew all the things that you needed to know about the place. He is leaving this weekend.

In the evening we went on a longer walk along the river were we met 2 cows that seemed very curious but didn't like us at all when we tried to get close.

We also struggled to walk on the correct side of the road since the traffic is the other way around here and there isn't really any footpaths to walk on.

So whenever a car was coming we just jumped to the left or right side of the street which wasn't always correct.

Friday and next monday are holidays so we got a long weekend ahead of us. Tomorrow we focus and Lars final day while saturday we might go outside the town for a bit and visit Cashel. 

I also found an old abandoned hotel about 2hrs away that might be interesting.
