03.05.2023 Child care project

 
The playroom opened a bit later today, since some of the workers took a bit longer to collect all the kids from school.

So for the first part of the day I was outside playing with the kids before returning to my lego cave.

I built a robot, a baby bat, a baby ghost and started on a gorilla, taking my time as usual to make sure the builts are looking as good as possible. 

Which isn't easy with 7 kids sorrounding you and asking when their monster is finally finished. But if I make a simpler built that takes less time and looks less "good" they always say it's ugly and they want a new one.

So it's not easy.

One of the kids had to go home before I was able to finish his request. So he started crying and first the other workers in the room thought that another kid had hit him or stolen something from him. But I told them it was just about the lego.

I told him we can build it tomorrow but he still refused to go home, so Geraldine promised him that I would finish his robot today and he could play with it, first thing tomorrow morning.

So I had a special order from the boss of the kidz club herself which I had to finish before it was time to clean up all the lego.

A very high honor but also a bit stressful.

I managed to built a smaller robot and put it on Geraldine's desk. I hope he likes it.

Though he may not even remember it until tomorrow.

Back home we had our dinner and then everybody sort of spent the evening on their own. 

But tomorrow we will probably play badminton again.
