Cairns / Great Barrier Reef

The weather was bad in Cairns. And since it was almost booked out on hotel rooms, I had to take a dorm bed for the very first time on my travels. And my first Great Barrier Reef tour got canceled. Well, doesn't sound too good, does it? 

Well, it all turned out just fine. The guys in my dorm were ALL very nice and everybody tried to be as calm as possible. I managed to book another Reef tour and went snorkeling and it was just great. Since I wasn't able to take pictures, I provide some shots from the Cairns Aquarium that give you somewhat of an idea of what it was like, although I unfortunately did not get to see sharks. Can't have it all I guess 😃

Side note : my first flight out to Perth got canceled so the airline provided me with my nicest hotel room so far. Couldn't complain about that.
