Eine Woche danach

Bereits 5 Tage ist mein Körper zuhause, meine Seele hinkt noch etwas hinterher. Es ist nicht einfach, die vielen, vor allem positiven Erlebnisse, zu verarbeiten. 

Zuerst will ich dir sagen, wie meine Heimreise vonstatten ging. Die einzige durchführbare Lösung war, dass André mich mit unserem Auto in Carcassonne abholt. Kurzfristig wollte dann auch seine Frau Sofie mitfahren. André hat mit ihr schon andere grosse Fahrten unternommen. Und daher wollte sie bei diesem Abenteuer auch dabei sein. 

Sie machten sich noch am Freitagabend auf den Weg, schliefen bei 2 Pausen je etwa 40 Minuten im Auto und trafen am Samstag um ca. 09:30 bei mir ein. Die Freude am gesunden Wiedersehen war beidseitig gross. 

Da ich das Fahrrad für den Transport vorbereitet hatte, verlief der Verlad rasch und die „vorberechnete“ Platzaufteilung war korrekt und alle Teilnehmer fanden einen bequemen Sitzplatz. 

Um einen Break in die lange Fahrt zu bringen, lud ich beide zum Frühstück in die Cité ein. So konnten sie ganz kurz diese sehenswerte alte Stadt besichtigen und wir genossen gemeinsam ein tolles Frühstück. 

Um 10:15 Uhr fuhren wir mit mir als Fahrer in Richtung Heimat. Rund 850 Kilometer lagen vor uns. Eine Strecke, die ich gerne mit dem Fahrrad zurückgelegt hätte. Dann wären es ein paar Kilometer mehr gewesen. Diese will ich noch nachholen, hast du Lust, mich dabei zu begleiten? Vielleicht im Herbst 24?

Kurz vor 20 Uhr erreichten wir unser Ziel, nach Genf machten wir noch einen Fahrerwechsel.

Brigitte überraschte uns alle mit einer grossen und passenden Dekoration am Garagentor. Und innen ging es noch viel grossartiger weiter. Ein Blätter- und Fotowald erwartete uns verteilt auf 5 verschiedene kleine Inseln in Küche, Wohnzimmer und Wintergarten. In liebevoller Detailarbeit hat Brigitte alle wichtigen Stationen meiner Tour mit Fotos aus meinem Blog rekapituliert und aufgestellt. Herzlichen Dank für diesen wunderschönen Empfang, für den nicht viel Zeit zur Verfügung stand.

Noch am Sonntag konnte ich mein Fahrrad nach Willisau zu meinem tollen Fahrradgeschäft bringen. Dort bleibt es noch ein Weilchen bis alles wieder bereit ist für meine nächsten Abenteuer.

Heute ist es bereits eine Woche her, dass diese Panne passiert ist. Übrigens muss es grad um 13:13 Uhr passiert sein, denn es war nur eine Minute später, als ich das erste Foto vom zerrissenen Riemen machte. Markus meinte dann, dass erst eine Feder gebrochen sei und als Folge davon dann der Riemen. Ein Ersatzriemen wäre also nicht unbedingt die Lösung gewesen.

Inzwischen ist alles verräumt und heute haben Brigitte und ich noch zum Abschluss die ganze Dekoration abgeräumt. Somit ist alles wie vor meiner Abreise? Äusserlich ja, innerlich gibt es noch viel zu verarbeiten. Die Gedanken und die Träume lassen mich noch oft und intensiv in die vergangenen Wochen zurückschweifen …. und ab und zu auch in die Zukunft.

Während deiner Reise hast du viel erlebt und trotz schlechtem Wetter und anderen Widrigkeiten immer dein Ziel vor Augen gehabt. Hallo René Vielen Dank für deine vielen ausführlichen und interessanten Blog-Einträge deiner grossen Veloreise. Vor allem gratuliere ich dir auch zur diesjährigen sehr anstrengenden Tour um die Inerisxje Halbinsel; oft auf sehr abenteuerlichen und schlechten Wegen, und das in einem Alter, wo viele Zeitgenossen am liebsten nur noch auf dem Sofa sitzen und den Tag an sich vorbeiziehen lassen. Irgendwie aber auch schade, dass die Tour nun so abrupt enden musste - aber wie bereits Andre geschrieben hat: zum Glück nur ein defektes Velo, aber keinen körperlichen Schaden. Mi cuerpo ya lleva 5 días en casa, mi alma todavía está rezagada. No es fácil procesar tantas experiencias, especialmente positivas.

Primero quiero contarles cómo fue mi viaje a casa. La única solución viable era que André me recogiera en nuestro coche en Carcasona. A corto plazo, su esposa Sofie también quiso acompañarlos. André ya ha realizado otros grandes viajes con ella. Y por eso quiso ser parte de esta aventura.

Partieron el viernes por la tarde, durmieron en el coche unos 40 minutos cada uno con dos descansos y llegaron a mi casa el sábado sobre las 9:30 de la mañana. Hubo gran alegría en ambas partes por el saludable reencuentro.

Como había preparado la bicicleta para el transporte, la carga fue rápida y la distribución del espacio "precalculada" fue correcta y todos los participantes encontraron un asiento cómodo.

Para interrumpir el largo viaje, los invité a ambos a desayunar en la Cité. Así pudieron visitar brevemente este casco antiguo, que merece la pena ver, y disfrutamos juntos de un estupendo desayuno.

A las 10:15 nos dirigimos a casa conmigo como conductor. Por delante nos quedaban unos 850 kilómetros. Una ruta que me hubiera gustado hacer en bicicleta. Entonces habrían sido unos kilómetros más. Quiero ponerme al día con esto, ¿te gustaría acompañarme? ¿Quizás en el otoño del 24?

Poco antes de las 20 horas llegamos a nuestro destino y después de Ginebra cambiamos de conductor.

Brigitte nos sorprendió a todos con una gran y apropiada decoración en la puerta del garaje. Y por dentro era aún más sorprendente. Nos esperaba un bosque de hojas y fotografías repartidas en 5 pequeñas islas diferentes en la cocina, el salón y el jardín de invierno. Con gran detalle, Brigitte recapituló y organizó todas las paradas importantes de mi recorrido con fotografías de mi blog. Muchas gracias por esta maravillosa acogida, para la que no hubo mucho tiempo disponible.

El domingo pude llevar mi bicicleta a mi gran tienda de bicicletas en Willisau. Allí permanecerá un tiempo hasta que todo esté listo para mis próximas aventuras.

Hoy ha pasado una semana desde que ocurrió este problema. Por cierto, debió ocurrir a las 13:13 porque fue solo un minuto después cuando tomé la primera foto del cinturón roto. Markus dijo entonces que se había roto un resorte y, por tanto, se había roto la correa. Una correa de repuesto no habría sido necesariamente la solución.

Todo ya ha sido recogido y hoy Brigitte y yo finalmente retiramos todas las decoraciones. ¿Entonces todo está como estaba antes de que me fuera? Externamente sí, internamente aún queda mucho por procesar. Los pensamientos y los sueños me permiten volver a menudo e intensamente a las últimas semanas... y de vez en cuando hacia el futuro.

Gracias por las muchas entradas de blog detalladas e interesantes sobre tu gran viaje en bicicleta. Sobre todo, os felicito por el agotador recorrido de este año por la península de Inerisxje; a menudo por caminos muy aventureros y malos, y en una edad en la que muchos contemporáneos preferirían simplemente sentarse en el sofá y dejar pasar el día. En cierto modo es una pena que la gira haya tenido que terminar tan abruptamente, pero como ya escribió Andre: afortunadamente sólo una bicicleta rota, pero ningún daño físico. My body has been home for 5 days already, but my soul is still lagging behind. It is not easy to process the many, mainly positive experiences.

First I want to tell you how my journey home went. The only feasible solution was for André to pick me up in our car in Carcassonne. At short notice his wife Sofie wanted to come along. André has already made other long trips with her. And so she wanted to be part of this adventure too.

They set off on Friday evening, slept in the car for about 40 minutes each with two breaks and arrived at my place on Saturday at around 9:30 a.m. Both sides were delighted to see each other again in good health.

Since I had prepared the bike for transport, loading went quickly and the "pre-calculated" seating arrangement was correct and all participants found a comfortable seat.

To break up the long journey, I invited them both to breakfast in the Cité. So they were able to take a quick look at this old town, which is well worth seeing, and we enjoyed a great breakfast together.

At 10:15 a.m. we set off for home with me as the driver. Around 850 kilometers lay ahead of us. A distance that I would have liked to have covered by bike. Then it would have been a few kilometers more. I still want to make up for that, would you like to come with me? Maybe in autumn 24?

Shortly before 8 p.m. we reached our destination, after Geneva we changed drivers.

Brigitte surprised us all with a large and appropriate decoration on the garage door. And inside it was even more magnificent. A forest of leaves and photos awaited us, spread across 5 different small islands in the kitchen, living room and winter garden. Brigitte recapitulated and set up all the important stops on my tour with photos from my blog with loving attention to detail. Thank you very much for this wonderful welcome, for which there was not much time available.

On Sunday I was able to take my bike to my great bike shop in Willisau. It will stay there for a while until everything is ready for my next adventure.

Today it is already a week since this breakdown happened. By the way, it must have happened at 1:13 p.m. because it was only a minute later when I took the first photo of the torn belt. Markus then said that first a spring had broken and then the belt as a result. So a replacement belt would not necessarily have been the solution.

In the meantime everything has been put away and today Brigitte and I finally cleared away all the decorations. So everything is as it was before I left? Externally yes, internally there is still a lot to process. My thoughts and dreams often and intensely take me back to the past weeks... and now and then to the future.

Thank you for your many detailed and interesting blog entries about your big bike trip. Above all, I would like to congratulate you on this year's very strenuous tour around the Inerisxje peninsula; often on very adventurous and bad paths, and at an age when many people would rather just sit on the sofa and let the day pass by.
