Tag 27 - Detour from the detour to meet with Papa ;)

From Rimpar, Würzburg to Heilsbronn 

- since I had reached the German border much earlier than planned and had decided to visit friends in south-western Germany, I was already taking some detours on my way home

- one friend that I definitely wanted to see before she was leaving on her own biketrip, is living in Augsburg though, so despite being nearly home I decided to take another detour to the south 

- and since I was already so close to home, my dad decided to also hop on his bike/tandem with his partner in Bamberg and come visit me :) 

- so we met in the cute town of Heilsbronn, booked a little bed&breakfast and had a very nice evening and morning together 

Fun fact: I only learned later that apparently the Ortlieb headquarters are in Heilsbronn! So my cyclist subconscious knew why to randomly pick Heilsbronn as meeting point 😜
